A further march down the road in acl's evolution - and one of the many directions we've been dying to get to... it's, ummm, water-y. (And this song is especially dedicated to J Wentz.)
Just stopped by to return the appreciation, but i LOVE this tune!! The sarcastic comments... haven't enjoyed something like that in a while. Just a thought, ever think about swapping the effect of the melody singer and the talking voice? I think it could be an interesting mix. But i am known to be wrong... alot...
were you guys tap dancing in the studio or what? It's so tightly woven into the continuous bass and rhythm tracks. And then it follows with all the layered strings... yeah, this one for sure. ;)
The first bioelectrophilia track since returning to the US. This song was made with only 2 saki monkey vocalizations. Note the beginning of the song which demonstrates how one vocalization was turned into part of the percussion.
Got into a bit of a mess recently and, well, this is me not doing anything about it (except sitting here and recording this, eh). I really need an acoustic with pickups.

The lyrics are kinda cliché. I like the tune itself. I tried to make a song similar to Femme Fatale or I'll be your Mirror by the Velvet Underground but it's nothing like that. I though it had a driving-at-night-atmosphere…
102nd & Amsterdam is dedicated to by father, Raymond Boyce; this was the first of many New York addresses for him. My fathers stories of growing up in New York in the 40's and 50's cemented in my mind the idea of New York as The City, an idea…

Hypnotic.
This is an absolute classic. C-l-a-s-s-i-c.

I really dig this whole album
What a great melody!
The piano and strings are a lovely combination...both are very emotive instruments. A lovely piece.
