Thanks for the generous comments you left on our songs sir.
Love the vocal effects here, masterful production and really entertaining arrangement, the intro transitioning into the verse was a nice touch.
This one was inspired by Wen's mom; and is therefore dedicated to all those musicians doing RPM, and all musicians who toil away at home to make their music despite what their friends & co-workers might think of their efforts.

"You wanna see talent? Come over to my house and watch my kids play Rock Band."
Hilarious!
I guess I should admit that I occasionally enjoy a bit of Rock Band...
Well, there was this Spectrasonics contest... and songs had to be submitted by June 30th... so we finally started working on this one on the evening of the 29th. Yeah. We procrastinate.
you guys amaze me with your RPM. I'm seriously blown away by this entire album. Each track stands out on its own so well... tapping into different emotions... flirting with different styles... it's an amazing piece and it makes me proud to be a part of alonetone. cheers to Kirk and Wendy... I raise my glass high!
Ahh, this is Vivian Circle length...and as I was commenting on Joshua Wentz' work earlier today, the two of you really know how to make an ALBUM...something that is so rare today. A piece of work/art that is to be consumed from beginning to end and savored. This is one of those albums. I really love that you put this piece last, it caps off a beutiful journey and leaves me wanting more...I think Ill start it up again...
I was listening to this and did not want to turn it down whent he phone rang...the person on the other end said...are you listening to Siouxsie (of the Banshees- and btw this person loves that band) and I said, why no I am listening to Another Cultural Landslide and thier brilliant new record, and I cant stay on the phone..CAUSE I LOVE THIS SONG!!!
Gorgeous....again, this record is so brilliant. I hope that someone dumps a truck full of money on your front lawn...I would take it as a sign from the Muse that you have done good with your beautiful music...truly gifted the two of you are.

Caged as a bird
free will is such a bitch

whether or not you enslave yourself
it's up to you
NOT FINISHED. another draft. just putting it up here so that i kick myself in the pants to flesh it out and write verses and whatnot and redo everything. great! this draft is continuously replaced with newer versions. check back, please! (oh yeah…
Another one from back when I was tracking to actual tape. Was going to do a new version at some point, but decided I had lost interest. Sometimes there's no sense in recreating the past! Recorded probably the beginning of 2007
It's the "do no harm" mix.
Because, theoretically you won't hear any difference between this and "technique 43".
Which is sad really, given how many hours I spent on it. Hours spent on the oh-so-exciting put-everything-in-Logic step…

This song was made by two different piano samples (both
from Sudara):
1. One was recorded by Sudara (and gang?) axing away at a hapless old piano in New Mexico.
2. today, I convinced Sudara to noodle on the piano and send it over to me…

Written in 1982 after a trip to Wyoming with a couple of Alex DeGrassi cassettes....
A reverse take (recorded live at a gig) of a couple of Pink Floyd covers. The amazing Bill Pohl on 2nd guitar. It came out sounding strangely symphonic.
Hey! Thanks for the visit!
Doug
I'm feeling new.
I'm seeing you.
I know right from my soul.
I don't need malady, baby, in my heart.
Rolling around.
Rolling ground, moving around the bend.
Is it true?
I'm in this mood.
It's coming from my…
I just couldn't sit on this anymore! This is a work in progress. I have some ideas for lyrics, but am waiting for time and inspiration to complete it.
Enjoy,
