Totally unique sound you've developed with these BL tracks. Great stuff! I have to wonder though how this went over at a place called "super happy funland". With that name I figured you'd have to dress in a clown suit and play the beer barrel polka!
Thanks man! Your stuff is so intense...only way I can describe it...it's real and true to you. A very unique approach your guitar and the music that you generate. I reminds me a lot of something my father told me, he said he never "wrote" a song...well never sat and wrote it out...he would be sitting there or sleeping and it like a radio station turned on...tuned him into a certain channel and he would just write..I get the same thing...and something about your music tells me you do to. Thanks for the listens and comments...I am a fan ;)
You're right SS, I thought of whales too, may have to retitle it now! @Joe: I think it's C6 tuning, which is standard ps tuning, I could be wrong. As some of you know my BL stuff is heavily inspired by Susan Alcorn, and esp. this piece. Look her up on YT and elsewhere, she's incredible.
Space Trumpet was an excuse to try out my new plugin "Little Spacey" from Expert Sleepers and also to exercise the Kore sounds from Acoustic Refractions.
MIDI was supplied via IAC from Reaktor using Lazyfish's Spiral sequencer. The project…
After my slight disappointment about the general lack of laser-like focus I was hoping for from week 4's recording, I wanted week 5 to be another attempt at a peppy,semi-focused song. However, Adam was listening to lots of sleepy music, and feeling…
Sudara mentioned yesterday that the new Logic had super cool guitar stuff. This is me checking it out.
Two guitar tracks, using just the double phaser, simple amp model and an insane space designer preset.
Used one of the mastering presets…
Poured myself a small cup of acoustic guitar, half finger picking, half ebow. Nothing fancy, nothing magical, nothing fantastical, just something to relax through.
Well now, this is actually a very old track, made back in March '09 and not that long after I started learning piano.
I was learning a very simple 12-bar blues piece and getting bored with the piano sound I started messing about with the Logic…
A little study using Dmin6 and Dmin7 with a little D dorian dressing.

Another one recorded "live on the fly", so the sound quality isn't great. Also some tonal support from SonicMood program.
Pileus is a cap-like structure, like on a cloud or mushroom.
Music is composed of a series of live, randomly improvised tracks recorded one after another with slight editing. Homemade "instruments" were also used. For this piece i wanted to let my ears play. I decided to first record a live track and let…

heheh that's funny Kirk! All 6 people in the audience seemed to enjoy it! :-) The clown suit might help...

Thanks Mr.Sandbags. More live stuff to come real soon.
This is great. I rarely download here, but this is going on the ipod.
Great songwriting and performances on this album. I like the live/mono production!
A nice group effort. Nice changes, like the fuzzy bass half way thru.
Really nice, great climax. More please!
Great idea glu! I think I will too!
@zen punk I love NY's Dead Man soundtrack. I guess everything we take in, eventually comes out in some form, like a bad burrito.
I like this version, even better than the CCR take. Always makes me think of that late night rock show in 70's of the same name.
thanks ACL, Kirk, MMI. I know these long tracks can test one's attention span.
@kirklynch Correct you are sir. Boss RC20XL and DL4.
Intense!
I've only scratched the surface of Logic's gtr fx , but you gave me the itch again. Very nice!
Great atmosphere! Need to check out more of your stuff.
Very very nice!
Brian would be proud!
@ ChamPayne: to explain the titles. The pieces were recorded at the Goggle Arts event at Gallery Art Cafe, with date and # id. Thanks.
Nice chord study. Like the pace and atmosphere.
I had missed this one somehow, but Sister brought to my attention with her new playlist. A jaunty little tune!
Uploaded a remix with some ebow in the break.
Liking this playlist and esp. this one.
