This is an experiment in stacking real time delay/looped tracks that had no preconceived connections... all overdubs were done without listening to previously recorded tracks. I hear some very interesting synchronizations.... You?

Like A Wave

If you make yourself a mule
someone's gonna ride you
this I know
Like a breeze moves through the air
or a wave upon the water
is how I go
When you can freely give
of all that you can hold
you can know no more…
(RPM 2011) For obvious reasons, many RPM albums make use of improvisational sound collages. ;-) This is the first of three that divide the record into sections. You may or may not hear the connections in the lyrics, but it actually does make…

@Dweeb, this is an old track from 2020. I tried multiple takes of this song.... not sure if this version was a vocal overdub or not, I'd have to find the old master tracks to figure it out. I found this on my old laptop when cleaning up desktop files the other night. I wrote/recorded this in April of 2020, not long after John Prine passed away. I guess it was kind of my tribute to him.

We are okay to go. As our spirits we are sending ourselves on missions never ending, we are okay to go, we are okay to go. Rainbow colors flashing, astral waters splashing, canopy projected, our spirits are protected, we are okay to go, we are…
On a cold and lonely trip through hyperspace, our protagonist wonders whether he'll ever see the sunrise on Ganymede again. (All sounds produced acoustically!)
If you ever get back to Ganymede, be sure to stop & look at the Ganymede Model Train Museum, which is actually in a structure about the size of a British police booth, except it's magenta with titanium highlights.
The museum is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. Say hi to Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged if you do happen to bump into him, jolly well.

It was about sunrise when I met this guy on the streets of the French Quarter and bought him coffee. I don't know if he's still around -- that was some 20 years ago -- but a two-hour conversation affected my life more than I would have ever known…
A single track of improvised chromatically tuned congas in 7/8, accented with clave, guiro, cajon and quinto.

Dude! Thanks so much for this... I've just been overwhelmed with emotion lately regarding this disaster.... I felt moved to record an impov, but just haven't yet found the time/space to do it... I really appreciate this. Peace, Michael
I had an incredibly hard time putting this together, and then at the end it fell together better than I could have ever hoped. I guess I should scream my head off more often.

A major thing, This began as I sat down to lunch and did some musing about my old wind-up gramophone, as food poisoning set in I spent the rest of the day lying in bed thinking of lyrics, getting up to type them in, throwing up, and going back…
Shades of Floyd, Beatles, Phish, and so much more...
I really dig the guitar lead on this right around 9 minutes... And the keyboard lead at 12min. In fact, drums, guitar, keys, the whole production sounds great. It's quite impressive what you managed to achieve in the face of such overwhelming adversity! Thanks for sharing the story & the music...
Ok, Who HASN'T had the fantasy about the hot librarian?
This was originally intended to be sung by a friend of mine with a much higher range, but a massive earthquake disrupted the schedule. I wound up singing it down an octave, trying to do…

Good to hear you again. Is that a cello?

Ah this is mesmerising. Lovely. It's good to know you're still making music. I'm playing catch up here. Been away in the woods
sounds like a shifty gambler shuffling cards in the corner of a dirty bar. like a slightly subdued tom waits.

So great. Wow, lovely lyrics and melody too.
Great Folk flavored song and lyrics. It's nice to hear this kind of music. We need more of it.
Exceptional lyrics!!! Love this arrangement- spare and supportive of your raspy warm vocals
Great chorus. Is this performed "live"?
You a bad man. Duderino.

Reminiscent of Waters & Gilmour - listening to it in the hot springs made the whole experience seem impossibly sublime.
