This is a remix of an improvised track I did for our first RPM album. For this new mix, I got rid of the vocals & added a most excellent electric guitar part by our good friend, Chris Mitchell. He listened to the track just once and proceeded…

Left here smilin' but you came back mean
Ain't no need to tell me, I know where you've been
Ya tell me you love me, an' you really care
an' if you just had some more, you'd be happy to share
You came back wantin' once you'd lost in all…

This started as I was finishing off the comment to "I Promise" and I was grabbed immediately by the Didgeriedoo like sound ....which ,hey I presume is a didgeridoo ?
I have one of those which I can drone ,but I am buggered if I can get the hang of circular breathing....hey the production on this is excellent at about 05:00 the tinklesa and then the hand drums (sorry I am shite when it comes to id'ing various ethnic and "primitive" drums)The talking in the background really works quite well.Ah there they go ,clearing off ...and in comes another...the background chirping at the transition and then a bit more reminds me of living in Singapore and the variety of night time noises that serensded you to sleep....or frigging well kept you awake depending on the time of year and how loud they were !
Ar these your percussion sounds...you must sharethe same playroom as Norm ....cool beats and rhythms .....At ten minutes I have hit the download button this is a definite keeper......this is almost soporiphic, and I mean that in a good way at about 12:00 plus i am almost more chilled than I have been for a little while ....nearly nodding off....nice little rhythm and echo set up going on here....we seem to be drawing to the end of this nocturnal journey with the inclusion of some synth swoops and swirls....sunrise ..dawn ..? and a fade ...excellent.
Most fun and enjoyed....sorry about tye blow by blow commenting but I got a little caught up in the moment .See Ya Later

I seem not to have got the hang of replying to comments...so I will tag my answer to your question re "Jumbled Layer"..all instruments were Weltmeister Stella 60 bass Ackordeen I only picked that up in September so am not very good with it yet...Squier Strat,Vintage 6 string Banjo (which is a nightmare to keep in tune ) and triangle played on the yammy keyboard...the only "fake" instrument.....as I type this out in my single simple fingered way I been listening to" I Promise"....very soothing and restful....some really nice improv going on ...the guitar fiddle has a smooth and mellow voice...great stuff......

Nicely done sirrah...now I remember why it is that I came back by here again ....the juxtaposition of the bass drum with the jazzy high tones are spot on and make an atmospheric blend....that guitar is how I like it...understated ,simpl sounding single notes strung out to their extremeties....NOT a simple technique....great first tune to come back to...
Cheers Jarvoid
Caveat emptor: I did absolutely none of the drumming in this piece.
WORLD PREMIER! FIRST RECORDING OF THIS PATTERN - EVER!
My friend Kokou "Alex" Yemey called me a few days ago with some urgency in his voice: "I must record this before…
Like A Wave

If you make yourself a mule
someone's gonna ride you
this I know
Like a breeze moves through the air
or a wave upon the water
is how I go
When you can freely give
of all that you can hold
you can know no more…
When my 'whole morning for recording' turned into 30 minutes, I did this. Beep beep;
Driving all over the fucking road.
Left right left right doesn't really matter.
In n out of lanes in my mitsubishi colt
Left right left right doesnt really…
Something for RPM. This piece of filler features a transaction between myself and my 2 year old daughter at her pretend shop. I was the 'custer', she was the 'shoppy keeper', and I was encouraged to ask her 'howzamuchit?'
Alex, are you familiar with the Dreamies album? This piece of yours seems as if it could have been inspired by that album... (Either way, kudos! This is favorite among favorites!) Your entire album this year is excellent!! Love the lo-fi inspiration!
everyone says I cant sing. I can its just im not very good.
its not about whether I can so much as whether I should.
but I do! yeah I will.. strangle that cat anyhoo
people say I cant, I can.. im just not very good.
everyone says I cant…
If you leave me behind I'll have a crow's nest of a life
Filled with things that sparkle and flash,
Rusty nails and old tin cans
Sure, they're pretty when they get wet
But it ain't the most comfortable bed
Unless you're here
I've been…
A trip back to the 80's, living out our Duran Duran dreams.
Tim played the roles of Simon, Nik, and Andy.
Grant was Roger.
Matt Parker was John.
Tess and Meg were Pepsi and Shirlie.
And Gary Fox played the role of Andy Hamilton.
Been listening to your new album while doing some school work. Looping back through now... Enjoyed this one especially. Thanks for posting your stuff here on Alonetone! :-)
Love how after all of the "I believe"s from the previous track, this one starts with JFK saying "I believe..." Love stuff like that. You know I am a big fan of this one!
Destination
Lyrics
My ship and I don't like to wait
I'm on my way
My ship and I don't celebrate
the victory of the day
My ship and I don't like to wait
I'm on my way
My destination takes me oh, so far away
My new position brings…
Traveler
Lyrics
I love the way she
waves toward the sky
she's living day to day
her love is years away
all my days in the sky
all her nights have fires burning
my day is just beginning
past Jupiter and Mars
I left for her life…
Excellent title track! Great concept, great album!! I am supposed to be working right now, but here I am listening through this for a second time. This track is a perfect setting for some classic WG harp blowin'. Good on ya man!
Earth Days
Lyrics
Lonely days
Solitude
If only I knew
Rocket ships
Data banks
It all seemed so cool
I miss the Earth and bright Summer days
I miss the trees and cool Autumn breeze
I look outside
only stars go by
Cryin' eyes…
Comments on Cave Street's stuff
Very cool....nice feel and ambiance to it
The tones and sub bass kick butt on my 800 watt studio monitors, cool.
I really like this! Very pretty.

Nice improv man!
Ah, nice. Simple, but it takes me places.
Beautiful tone. I could listen all night.
My gosh, you guys are the ad lib kings! Magical guitar tone. Love the brooding percussion also.
Hey, tha,nks for listening! Great song; haunting, and in the beginning it has a bit of a Tool feel.
I like it! I gotta get me an electric cigar box!
smoother than babies bottom........
I love the floating feel this has.
Cheers, Jarvoid!

Brilliant!
Good to hear you in action, bro. If I had to choose just one out of the new batch, I think this one's my favorite...
Much love, brother!
Thanks, friends! Taking it one day at a time 'round here. Grateful for the feedback.
Great vibe! Some truly original & psychedelic music came into existence in 67 & 68... love this tribute! Great production! :-)
I can dig it! Nice work you guys...
Dave, you and WildGeas need to jam, this is right up his alley! Where you at Paul?
What an excellent album! My wife & have enjoyed listening to it all. Thanks for sharing it!
It matters! Love your entire album, Alex! Thank you!

I say you CAN! And I'm glad you do! This is brilliant!
This one is an easy favorite among an album of really strong tracks! I'm also loving the dynamics/flow of the album... well played!
I like hearing the sound of the room on this recording. Nice start, I'm settling in for the whole record...
Another crowd pleasing slab of Dad Rock right here. Fun track!
I can see (hear) why this is the title track! This is an instant classic. Impressive!
