Guinness

Another silly little tune, this time about the world’s favourite stout! (Edit: uploaded a new version. Fixed a few mistakes.)

Lyrics:
When the sun is up high, in a bright blue sky
And you’re walking around in Dublin town
You got nothing to do, so kick up your shoes
And stop at the pub for a Guinness

Oh, the Guinness is rich and the Guinness is brewed
Get you fuller than you favourite stew
Dark and nutty and toasty too
That’s why they call it a Guinness

They brew it at the St James’ Gate,
Better not try it if you just ate
But to get your whistle wetter
You cannot do better
Than to stop on by for a Guinness

Oh, the Guinness is rich and the Guinness is brewed
Get you fuller than you favourite stew
Dark and nutty and toasty too
That’s why they call it a Guinness

Now the whiskey is a tasty treat
The bourbon is sweet, and the scotch has that peat
But it’s damn hard form them to compete
With an honest pint of the Guinness

Now some they like the yellow ales
And some they like the red ones too
But in a time of drought
They’ll still brew that stout
And we’ll stop on by for a Guinness

Oh, the Guinness is rich and the Guinness is brewed
Get you fuller than you favourite stew
Cascades for days in the rounded glass
That’s why they call it Guinness

Oh, the Guinness is rich and the Guinness is brewed
Get you fuller than you favourite stew
Dark and nutty and toasty too
That’s why they call it a Guinness

I'm glad you liked it! I've been to Ireland only once. Only had time to hang out in and around Dublin, but I did get to visit St. James's Gate and a few of the pubs. It'd be very cool to go back and see the country!

Love it! Traveled all around Ireland, hitting the pubs, listening to the local music and sipping on Guinness. One of my all time favorite trips and now one of my all time favorite beverages! This song brought back that fun time, stoutly absorbing all that great music.

The Guiness drinkers owe it to themselves to listen to this, favourite it, and... have another Guiness. The less enlightened need to start drinking Guiness... but remember, everyone, that "alcohol is not a coping mechanism"... doesn't actually apply to Guiness, obviously (because it counts towards your 5 A Day, same as Red Wine and Potato Chips)
