Here is an old song with a brand new wash and shine. Recorded today. It's a song about a fictitious girlfriend that Steve Krell created and . . . well . . . I just couldn't help but steal her away from him. In fact we both stole and lost her…

Love it intro is great, especially when Colleen says we are in Greg's recording studio!! (can I book a few hours?) outstanding song and great vocals all around, sweet harmonies!! I can't believe how good a sound you get recording live at the coffee table...no phones ringing, no dogs barking, no one yelling "turn it down"....ha ha........ I name this band LoDillCo
It's been a long time. Too many distractions and not enough time, or even focus to play lately.
Somehow this song, "Higher Ground" squeaked out from some hidden place.
Update: Gene offered to improve the Mix on this song! This is that improved version. Thanks so much Gene! You are awesome!!!
I wrote this song earlier this summer, and had played it a few times with Greg Connor, fellow alone toner, and…
Outstanding . . .
I can hear Melissa and the rest of us harmonizing. Colin's bass is keeping us together and Scott's mandolin just brings it over the top.
Great song and lots of fun!

Happy Sunday Alonetoner's.

I start smiling every time your voice pans to the other speaker. That's fun!
Nice song. Andrew has the stuff. I think he's right on, although it may not stop Colin and I adding a little something.
Think of it as putting plastic Pink Flamingos in the yard. It may not add much, but you just feel good about it.
Here is my version of Greg's Cherry Pie...I took a little liberty with it and recorded a whole new song.....I think Greg said that would be ok!!
Tried to put the Sweet Ronnie Cream Cheese Mojo on it....good gawd!!!!
This is my first upload. I mostly have a vocal here. It's a song that I'd love to get some collaboration on from the guitarists in the community. Let me know what you think?
Are we having fun . . . or what! I think Ron's Mandolin would sound perfect in here.
Sounds like the key of C to me, less a little drift from singing *A Cappela*.
Maybe somebody will step up and send you a guitar track. If not, we can record it next time we all get together.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Alonetone!
Comments on Greg Connor's stuff
wonderful folk song, full of images that somehow take me off the range as well. Much enjoyed.
Congrats on being able to retire. I probably never will. You got much more than stories left, sir. You got songs!
Great lyrics....and of course outstanding singing & playing...reminds me a little of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Boy you sure can write a good one!!!! Another masterpiece! Thanks for sharing the song challenge too!!!
