Hey Colleen, you asked "Who did the scary cries????"
There are two theories:
1. It's Rita calling me for dinner.
2. It's my world famous Elk Rut recordings that I usually play every Halloween.

I think these challenges are so expanding ,I sat back and followed the the progression carefully.
Then to hear what you did with this unusual thread ,the lyrics made it all seem so natural.
I am impressed. More please

A Piece of Pi is our newest composition. It’s a brief summary of the story “Life of Pi”. A wonderful story needs a wonderful song. Hopefully we can meet this challenge and find like-minded people out there.
Well done...
Ooh, I just got to the vocal. Nice, and I like that bass too.
8 minutes of enjoyment. Just enough time to take a look at your website posted on your profile.
I recorded this one a while back for a short film which I am told will be out soon.
It's a reworking of my earlier piece, [gypsy caravan](http://alonetone.com/colingarvey/tracks/gypsy-caravan).
A bit of a musical kinda song.....
I DID WRONG
Counting on my fingers, counting on my toes, the years go by, but life is so slow
where life leads, to where it goes ,where it’s heading, no one really knows
But a small mistake a wrong place…
This is Fun! We may have to do this again in a few weeks.
I'm planning to sing this live tomorrow night at the Rosemont Jam. Harley will be playing bass. We could use some harmony if you are free.
I wrote another verse, subject to approval and Tweaking:
Broken Windows throwing stones
I don’t know how to heal these bones
I tripped and fell hurt more than my pride
If only my woman was by my side
I’ve been down this road before
I found myself on the cold hard floor
I picked myself up and carried on
Now my woman, now she’s gone
Honey I’m comin, home to you
A broken man, who’s sad and Blue
I need you back, and I’ll be true
Honey I’m comin home to you
I’ve spend my life, in foolish ways
Makin bad decisions, and then I pay
And it hurts me more, than you know
I’m Comin home again, broken so
MORE WINE!
Once in a nightmare
I knew you then
I think we were related,
I'm not sure
maybe we were strangers.
We'd look in windows and climb
the trees that grew,
and if it'd rained outside
we'd take off our shoes.
And when I'd see you
I would…
I remember a long time a go, there was a band called "It's a Beautiful Day". They had a song called "White Bird".
I don't know why, but this song reminds me of that sound. I love it.
Very retro sounding guitar too.

Here's my last studio effort of the summer, as we roll into fall!
I wrote this one earlier in the year sipping mojito's at the proverbial beach bar and then posted it here.... I thought I'd give it a little sprucing up with the help from my…
This song is a improv guitar with some modifications in audacity.

Here's the second song I recently decided to do with a studio recording from one I wrote and posted here a while ago as a purely vocal version. It's one of my favorites.... I hope you'll enjoy it too

Was there a minor chord in there, I may have effected you, drew you closer to the dark side
Now .... can this be classed as a song about Rita ?? or is it about your car ??? As always Greg .... good stuff.
Cool! really dig the vibe here, good playing and singing! Always love songs about cars and driving :-) keep on cruising ! KC
Cool song, i dig the harmonica and all the instruments sound fine together. I thought it would be about a guitar when i clicked though :)
So many good stories in that brain of yours!! Love this. Especially fun to think of you driving around with Rita in that Mustang... and clean up the backseat would ya!
ha ha love it...reminds me of my first car.. a brand new 69 rally green Camaro that I got in the fall of 1968 great lyrics!!
Another cracker Greg ....
Awww... fabulous. This has got the dulcimer on it too? I love the textures you create with this and the guitar. And the song... gorgeous.

Absolutely beautiful! Such delicate finger picking so perfectly matches the lyrics. A masterpiece.!!!!

I just found you on YouTube . . . Good Stuff James! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IL1HCW3uzE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRukvPERWZk
Power piece of music! That harmonica sounds pretty good.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh . . . that felt good !!!
Love the piano! Good humor.
I love that powerful voice of yours!
I noticed that you are getting a lot more fidelity out of your recorder than me. Let's remember that for next time.
Ahhhhh . . . There it is. The Glass song that we were talking about the other day!

Nice picking and bending!
Refreshing . . . . You have a great style.
Holy Cow !!!!!!!!!!
Outstanding Colleen! All three of these songs recorded at F5 Studio are excellent.

I like that touch of adding new instrument voicing at different times of the song. It freshens everything up. Well done.
Tranquil and inviting! The loop that comes in at the end is a great idea, but it distracted me from the easy listening.
. . I Love It !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is GREAT Fun.
It's hard to pick a favorite, but this just might be it. Well done Colleen!
