Lyrics:
After the Sun goes down
Lay in bed no sleep to be found
And the shadows dance on walls
After the Sun goes down
Just a reflecting time
The clock just seems to unwind
The silence gets so loud
Just a reflecting time
It won…

I bought some blues harmonicas once - this'll be easy I thought... NOPE! lol (I ended up giving them to a harp player I knew)
I might try again one day, and it's performances like this that make me want to do it.
Fine song, fine everything :-)

Hi Mark,
That was a lot of fun! I think your Harp playing sounds great!
Yes "Cause a Bull Dog to Hug A Hound" sounds like it might fit right into your next masterpiece.
Let's do it.

Greg and I have shared many laughs over the original lyrics for the Blues Tune "Big Leg Women" done by Snooky Pryor and Mel Brown, and these lyrics were the result of some email bantering done to perpetuate the sillyness. Maybe our next take should include Snooky's claim that big legged women have somethin' that'll cause a bulldog to hug a hound!

You get your way when you scream and shout

A song I wrote over the last few days. Did a one-take-wonder on the recording, so it's pretty simple. Hope you like it!
Sometimes You Don't
Verse 1
Sometimes in the early morning hours
As the sun lights up the sky
I look back and think…
Ah . . . . the single life. I think I would be in big trouble if that happened to me. You have some great descriptions all through the song. Wonderful!
Written by Colleen Dillon, Mark Lofgren & Greg Connor around the Minnesota Coffee Table in less than 3 hours.

And I can’t…
I found this Tangelwood guitar locally in a repair barn
its a parlor with 12 frets to the body
the top wood is cedar, this guitar can sing
I am sharing its beauty with you for free
I wrote this one yesterday. A little something to bring hope for the future.... there's always time to begin anew.
Thanks to Greg Connor and Mark Lofgren for their wonderful guitars and vocals on this one - recorded yet again around my kitchen…
A little celestial inspiration for this song.... I started it and Greg and Mark helped me finish it and then record around my kitchen table. Feel free to howl if you like it!
Blood Wolf Moon
VERSE 1
Blood wolf moon this January…
Is this autobiographical? I feel like I hardly know you 😆
Oh, I just got to the lead break. ..... very nice.
Another foot tapper. You just keep cranking them out. By the way, I used to live and drive Hwy 23 every day for years.
Boy oh Boy.... Have I ever missed playing live with these two wonderful guys!!!! Recorded last week in my front yard with Greg Connor and Mark Lofgren. An original tune I wrote from the times before the pandemic, but all the sweeter to be able…
The Conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn Forming the Christmas
Star left we here breathless. I fiddled with the big foot telescope, Kim with her Ceremonial feathers and all, but we ended just holding hands
Best of everything…
Well the song tells the story of the morning.... a lovely bleak, cold day. I decided on a simple a cappella arrangement to fit the feeling of the day.
Happy Winter Solstice everyone! To brighter days ahead!!!!

Good advice! It seems we are both in a reflective mood lately. A solid song, great lyrics, excellent instrumentation and delivery.
That chorus really struck me. Beautiful all the way through. The third verse, in particular, brings out the optimistic view. It’s never too late .
Ah . . . . the single life. I think I would be in big trouble if that happened to me. You have some great descriptions all through the song. Wonderful!
I'm laughing again this morning! What kind of warped minds would come up with this?
Lovely, and like you said “this guitar can sing”. It’s always fun to find a prize!
A beautiful song Colleen! Thanks for letting us play on it.
“Rain is Falling” let’s hope the Sun will peak out soon.
I love it! Not bad for a live mix, recorded on a handheld recorder!
Second listen, lovely.

Beautiful song, great imagery. The view from your window is a LOT better than mine.
I love that 12 String. Excellent song.
I’m laughing out loud again! That was fun singing your great song, all 3 of us in the same room again after 15 months.
I love it . . . Way to go guys!
First song of the new year and great uplifting message
Beautiful and melancholy at the same time.
Oh that Frankie, lots of ideas! I’m really impressed with the sound of you guitars. That 12 string is the perfect accent to the electric.
Beautiful song! We’ve been looking but have not seen the event yet. Hopefully we’ll get a clear night soon.
Replay . . . Third time thru . . . You got a keeper there!
Love it. As bare as a winter's chill.
