Wow, I was already thinking what a special song this is & then then that flute solo just sealed it! Sure would love to hear an "extended mix" with more of that! I like where everything sits in the stereo field, this is a nice spacious mix...

Nothing beats when the MN songwriters convene. Greg and Colin sure brought some awesome sound to this song at the coffee table to improve the version that I recorded myself earlier this month. It's what I call a TOTAL MAKEOVER.
Thanks guys…
Recorded this one as a test track to sync with the video I shot for it. I am not happy with the computer virtual amp guitar sound on this. I will re-record this and mic my amp for that real cranked 100 watt tube sound.

Ok, before I go any further, I need to thank Alonetoner Greg Connor. He proposed a song-writing challenge around the theme of "Who Knew" in early/mid December. Many musicians here in the Alonetone community wrote some amazing songs around this…
Well ... I tried to log in on my iPhone and learned that I am only a guest. Rita and I listened to *"Taking Back What's Mine"* over a Bluetooth speaker in the living room this morning and as I said in the previous "Guest" message, lots of emotion and imagery!
I'm impressed with your guitar playing and the tone from your new guitar too. Very nice!
This one is still a bit rough, but I wanted to share and see if anyone has an interest in adding some guitars, bass, other vocal parts for fun. I left the chords in the lyrics below, in case you wanted to collaborate. I hope you enjoy it…
One after another . . . Strong lyrics and a great melody. Excellent!
I see you decided to put Laural & Hardy's version out of its mystery. Good choice. We were making it much more complicated than it needed to be.
This is a song by our guitarist Keith. He doesn't get a chance to jam with us as much since he moved to New York. He and I had a lot of fun working on this simple tune, and it makes me miss times long gone.
Comments on Greg Connor's stuff

The echoharp sounds like a concertina. Nice touch.
Going very nicely with dessert.
All I find is holey socks in the bottom of my drawer!!!!.....great stuff... love the whistle
Damn- that is stunningly beautiful! Whistle line reminds me of a traditional Irish tune called "Summertime Summertime".
Ahh that hits a sweet spot,A good instrumental in the morning.
Very pretty piece Greg,A valentine without words,
