That last one was me... forgot to login! Good stuff, can't wait to hear more ghost.
I can definitely hear the appeal of this track. It paints a very intriguing picture, and there's a lot to listen to throughout.
It sounds like you're really just getting into when you play your guitar. I also love the chords you play.
something about your voice just makes me happy. this song has the low-fi flavour of childhood popsicle hangouts
your tunes are ridiculously unique. you clearly have a vision. it is well executed and puts me in the weirdest moods.
i think you're on to something, but hell if i understand what. your music is more silly than my 5 year old half-sister after she had just eaten all her hallows-eve candy.
by gosh, is...is this a real piano?
beautiful sound. slightly out of tune or something, it's eerie, nostalgic and dangerously large.
keep on doing what you're doing.
you were born in a squaresoft fantasy.
my band (white bison) has been all about the spaghetti westerns lately, so not only do i appreciate this, but i suggest you continue, and you never stop, never look back, not even if shots are heard and the women and children yell in hysterical fright!
harvey harvey, where have you gone?
make more music, or at least post it for the community to see.
i can't get enough of this song.
you have a unique pop sound, i know you just commented, but don't take it as a reason to why i am commenting on your stuff.
your voice sounds..exhausted. i like it!
also, speaking of my interests/influences, what sort of guesses would you make?
p.s. recorder, yes!
guyyysss, this collab is great! really developed and smooth. everything works well together. i am really impressed by your collaboration. keep it up, please.
haha, i like this, happy, chaotic, a bit menacing perhaps. great use of what reason has to offer to make sounds that are unique and interesting.
i like the direction you are taking with your electronic stuff.
i love this, the distant ambience, the gritty slight distortion, the dynamic in volume, i think you should keep this the way it is to be honest.
i like your music everyone, punchy, epic and reminiscent of some great experimental music throughout the ages.
beautiful. this is just what i needed rite now, honestly.
you make nostalgia seem way too relevant and it is scary
oh this is not just a reply for mutual replies sake.
ahhh, i love the sounds, not sure if i would like to be on the burlington skyway if it sounded like this though.
you arppegiate like a master. your chops are more than admirable. how long have you been playing piano?
also, can i put drums to these pieces by any chance?
i really like this sound, great use of eq'ing, sub bass, heavy compression, distortion. for this finely crafted 4 dimensional painting.
what do you use to record/edit/mix?
did you set it up so that when you reach a certain input volume with the guitar a gate is triggered that initializes the drum machine to hit?
what did you use to get these sounds, are these all analogue?
i am particularly interested in the sound that comes in around 1:10, it is high end, sounds like string being plucked and recorded through a narrow tube. what is that, the phase on it is really interesting.
in regards to your reduced volume issue, it is most likely because the recording at some point in the signal process was distorted, so when you mixed it down in garage band it 'auto-normalized' it, meaning it reduced the volume to a point at which the signal on the main out in garageband was not distorting (red lining/going past 0 db).
i would look to make sure that none of your inputs are red lining or that the mix on the main out is not red lining, then when you mix down in garageband and send to itunes the volume will most likely not be reduced.
now as far as the song, i look forward to when you eq it and such, it has this kind of lounge demented sound to it. i imagine myself in a gritty scene potentially on an old nearly broken elevator.
i like this, the breaks between lyric and instrumental and the progression with the drums.
how did you record this? did you use one mic for the drums? if so you have made good use of it.
i hear remnants of the unicorns, 764 hero and a few others in your songs, i look forward to hearing more.
