We traded discs back after RPM 2009 and this CD still gets played regularly in my car stereo, love it! 😁 this track is the standout for me, gorgeous! One question, my CD a has 12 tracks, can you recall what the other 2 were?
Sorry, that last comment was from me, forgot to sign in, d'oh!
Loving the concept, loving the result! Were the vocals laid down on the iphone too? Was it mixed on the iphone? All impressive anyway. :)
3rd one for RPM2011. This is an 'oh you'll never get to heaven' type affair inspired by a beer my mate introduced me too. The song is basically about drinking yourself to death and having one up on the healthy brigade having made a rather spectacular…
Just been through your RPM tracks on your homepage and this one stands out. I usually hate this sort of track but for some reason I am really digging this (Thank You is the other stand out track)!
Thanks for your comments on my track by the way, hope RPM is treating you good!
This is the first demo [Sister Savage](http://alonetone.com/sistersavage) and I have made for our RPM 2011 album.
Although I've uploaded a copy here we'd be really grateful if you would listen to the [version uploaded by Sister](http://alonetone…
Just listening to this album I created over one and a half years ago expecting to cringe, but am loving it!! Is it sad to be bopping about the kitchen to my own tunes??! Yeah! :)
I guess this would be the "centerpiece" of the album. Like the rest of the album it really stumbles along the line between droney and simply repetitive, and it needs a bit of a reworking to reach its potential.
This is a fabulous song, the kind I wished I could make. Inspirational!
And I can't believe you liked my rpm album as much as you said based on what I have heard so far!
My opus. By far the longest song I've ever recorded. I tried to make it shorter, but it just didn't work. Sorry. :)
"The Water-Carver" uses a sample from Stereolab's "Changer." (Gane/Sadier)

Dedicated to my friend Paul Lennon.
Once You asked me
If I could see the end
It's okay to tell the truth
I don't want you to pretend
And I said I would not lie
But I don't believe it ends
It goes on And on Forever Forever
It goes on…
Hey! It would seem that you are the first person (apart from me) to listen to my rpm album in it's entirety! Hope you liked it! :o)
This is a lovely song - reminds me of latter day Leonard Cohen.
PS You mentioned my lyrics, if I have time I will post them on each of the tracks.

i fear mr. guest moron may have missed something
I like this song. It is totally ready to be used in a soundtrack or 12.
Beautiful instrumentation - it's very difficult to do without it sounding trite or cheesy, and you made it work perfectly.

Was the length of this track a mere coincidence?!

I've heard this elsewhere (Tess's RPM page) but got to comment again, a really lovely track. The instrumental outro is gorgeous.
I really love the way your acoustic guitar sounds on all these tracks, care to divulge your recording technique?
WOW! The synth and acoustic guitar gel together beautifully on this. Background vocals are lovely too. Great track.
Really nice vibe to this, reminds me of latter day Bob Dylan, don't worry, that's a compliment in my eyes! :D

Loving the production on this and woah! What a voice! Looking forward to hearing more...
I am really loving this album, it's a blissfully shimmertastic!
Gorgeous!
Lovely melody, very relaxing.
I was gonna say the Zep influence is all over that tune and then you drop a levee breaking reference and it made me smile. Great harmonica work.
You've got a great guitar sound going there. Were these all recorded live? Lots of energy, great job!
Gorgeous song, opus indeed! I am going to download the album methinks.
