This is my 12 hour song (written, recorded, mixed, mastered) ... I pined away all day at it while a storm kept me company.
instrumentation:
a man lost his house and sold me his fretless bass for next to nothing. a family friend gave me…
when i feel like i have something worth saying i suppose. or when someone else does ;)
I've been working on some lyrics, but nothing 'serious' has been written. just ideas at this point.
close your eyes and imagine a glu concert-- what does it look like? describe this fake show to me... what would you want to see?
Oh, almost forgot. Many sounds, like these pretty cellos were found on freesound. I did manipulate the pitch on…
very nice. the orchestra at the beginning was really cool. hooray for downloading and manipulating sound effects from the interwebs (that's how I got the rain in "Rainy Day). anyway, I like it, the whole thing flows very well.
Glu and Sister Savage bring you these remixes!
Original track by Sister Savage:

I added melodies to the initial track and then Sister Savage
rerecorded the vocals to match the new melody.
Glu...get ready because you have just won yourself a lifelong fan, you sticky beautiful thing, you. This is OMG's big sissy (Al) and I think I love you. MWAH. If you remix "Bubble Bath" with "Girl from Ipanema" I may have your children.
I'm better at using my pots and pans for music than for food, so I post this tune in hunger. 3 pots, 1 pan, and a tabla.
"i'm just a gangsta in the jungle" recorded in the amazon. It's actually a part of a monologue that I will likely never post…

i love how naturally the beat comes in, and you have so many production touches and little details that really lend to the 'computer' feel. this is pretty inspiring. the audience response sounds incredibly natural, as well. i have an instant resentment to computer generated vocals, though. :)
your use of high frequencies is really reminiscent of iannis xenakis, especially 'diamorphoses.' the song l0v3drug brings to mind some alva noto & ryuichi sakamoto works. i think it's the treble.
you are great at separating instruments and ensuring no frequencies sound muddled.

a circle stage suspended on glowing sparks. the crowd slowly floats around, watching the performance arts. the holographic orchestra sputters into view. the sole performer enters, it is glu. the music turns to rainbow mist, and becomes the audience. it is a beautiful show, visual music. 0x0
this is so chill. I want more Brando like this ol' school track! Check out the rest of the playlist here: http://alonetone.com/glu/playlists/glu-presents-rhythmically-delicious-series-part-1
Music for the credits of a film called "High Lonesome" by Andrew Hulse. I originally wrote this for guitar, viola, and double bass. In this new version, the lead melody is played by my wife on clarinet.
This tune a a handful of others have been selected for my new alonetone playlist glu presents: Rhythmically Delicious Series part 1.. http://alonetone.com/glu/playlists/glu-presents-rhythmically-delicious-series-part-1

letting this playlist loop over dinner was a perfect idea! I'm awed by the production, the layering of beautiful melodies over delicious rhythms.. this playlist is a gem.
ah the favorites page! I wonder how many folks here check others' fav'd tracks. I am working on a few really nice alonetone artist playlists from this colossal 600+ minutes of favorited tunes.
The Dutch painter Mondrian was apparantly a fervent dancer to Boogie Woogie and that image stuck because he seems such a stiff guy otherwise. So I thought that would make a funny subject for a dance-tune. Normally I wouldn't make a song about…
you guys amaze me with your RPM. I'm seriously blown away by this entire album. Each track stands out on its own so well... tapping into different emotions... flirting with different styles... it's an amazing piece and it makes me proud to be a part of alonetone. cheers to Kirk and Wendy... I raise my glass high!
wow! how did this get past the gludar? what a cool track. I love the dulcimer. took a summer course years ago... learned a little arlo gutherie. wish I still had one.
The first version.
This is the first and only song I wrote on [arrsuarez](http://alonetone.com/arrsuarez)'s Christmas gift to me, a mbira that he lovingly crafted by hand.

yeah, this one really grooves! nice work.
this is one nice collaboration. I don't know John MacDonald but if you two are still on good terms I think you should hook up for "3rd" :)
