more stuff for the glubotic March addendum. The bamboo flute in this track belonged to an old Subud brother ... I don't really know how to play any wind instruments... but this flute practically plays itself.
Hey, notice the new forum section... Track Therapy? discuss with me: http://alonetone.com/forums/track-therapy/topics/help-me-find-direction-for-this-track
Mr Glu
I like your little ditty. I think it has a lot of promise.
The one thing that I believe it needs is a "B" part. You are basically playing the same chord progression over and over again. Not too bad since it's only 2:29 long but a B part would help. I don't know what key its in but lets just say its G. Your B part should be in some other rel chord starting in C or D and progress for 8 or so bars somewhere in the middle of the tune. Just to mix it up.
I hope this is what your looking for.
Another remixed tune to add to the Goran Bregovic collection.
Let me know what you think! I usually hate house/trance/
4-floor beats but this was fun to remix and program.

somewhere around 3 minutes you should here the sound of people chopping down a tree in the Peruvian Amazon turn into the beat of the song. This song was somewhat influenced by Kim Hiorthøy.
I've been waiting all day to get home, just to be able to listen to this album without interruption - and it has been worth the wait. Absolutely Brilliant. I just can't get enough of this. k
Similar in feel to the other Fragile Moment track. Mostly acoustic guitars recorded sitting in my shop on the H4N and then finished up in Cubase just this morning. September 9 09. Maybe a nice one for bedtime
Memories of walking a coonhound in the small hours around the empty structures of Baltimore's Artscape festival before dawn- silent ferris wheel standing behind the rows of booths, vacant carnival installations on the Charles St Bridge. In this…
Well the votes are in and nobody, who has commented, seems to think I have offended against Satie with this. That's kind of cool because this really is one of my favourite pieces of music and one that I hope, one day, to be able to play myself…
A beat I created for "Die Faxmachine", a collaboration with composers Du Yun and Ken Ueno, who faxed in (to a live performance) a composition for flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, and electronics, interpreted on the spot by Mobtown Modern on 9…
I've been working on this one little by little; now I'm at a point where I do not feel like revisiting the feeling. Moves from 3/4 to 4/4, or so I think.. kind of like a 7/4 time sig but not really. typical glu instrumentation, etc.
Everyone…
@ Mannequin Races. Yeah, that's me on the electric guitar... not much of a lead guitar player but I enjoy dabbling.
@ Sister best lyrics? Must be the hangover talking :-) thanks for the compliments! It's not nearly as pretty as your oceanic stuff, but I guess I was going for more dangerous waters, yeay!
@ Gumbo, I'll start brainstorming lyrics for a new pirate tune! Looking forward to yours.
This is my 2007 Pirate Day song, written and recorded September 19th 2007. I like the innuendo, but maybe it's too subtle - nobody else seems to notice ;~)
We celebrate the passing of a great musical instrument. Hobart M. Cable, the piano lent to us this summer, is going back to his kind owner, Danny. He will be dearly missed.
We hastily wrote this little ditty in his last few hours in our possession…
and of course, awesome arrangement and performance(s). ;-)
I thought about stealing our mum's piano... thoughts? I'm starting to feel like I need one too... well, I've been feeling that way for some time, and I'm afraid that any instrument in that house sits neglected until we come home for the holidays!

This song was made by two different piano samples (both
from Sudara):
1. One was recorded by Sudara (and gang?) axing away at a hapless old piano in New Mexico.
2. today, I convinced Sudara to noodle on the piano and send it over to me…

Guitar loop from 2008. First loop where I bounced between different tracks instead of building part upon part. Flawed, but for better or worse, I rarely record something twice (why I left in the pop in the initial bed loop, I have no idea - well…

HOT DAMN! kirk. I'm hypnotized, amazed, and affected with awe over your mastery of guitar and melody. There is real magic in that shop, both with your instrument crafting and instrument playing. consider this one double faved.
Just working out some rhythms. Toucans come in at about 1 minute.. wish I could get the sound onto vinyl for some proper scratching. I used Sandbags' awesome generative sequencer Elysium for some of the ambient and lower pitched toucans. The lead…

resistors and soldering iron = good. microchips and robotic arm = bad.

Love the atmosphere/flow (I don't know what to call it) on this beat.
Okay - to quote oh my goodness from a few days ago: ok. so it's time we collaborated. ;) What a great tune. And great disc. Period.
This one just gets me drifting. Great use of space.
Man, the riffs going on in the background are just KILLER. Another ace.
