haven't heard original .......but I like this from the mouthful of gum backing Dave guitar, orh organ to your well delivered vocal.......nice bit of lead there Dave .........
i must say what a fantastic mix sandy i absolutely love it.
i have had the privelege of hearing this from the outset, about 2 or 3 weeks ago sandy sent me his (in my eyes completed) version and i added my bits, then passed the baton onto dave to add his bits, so i have heard three earlier versions, then my inner puppy was dying to hear the finished piece and had to contain myself for two weeks.
wow! it was well worth the wait and the vocal rythms are the icing on the cake.
oh some of you may recognise mrs orh's laugh as she appears on quite a few of my songs(thanks for leaving it in) she was in the next room and her timing unplanned but perfect imho.
Ha, thanks bro - You are defo the in crowd regarding 'ol Greg!
I think you guys did a great job here. Without doubt wins the Golden Gould hands down!
Freaky... The three of you went entirely insane for a brief moment!
my first exp with the chorus in this song was from the bangles album 'everything.' it was a b-side and it just referenced this song. remembering it, i am so glad i heard the real song now, i dont care that it wasnt done by bowie, you did a fine job.
This is a song I made at my cabin last fall ... didn't have anything new to say so the lyrics are a bit out there ... anyway ... this is "Nothing new" ... all recorded on my Boss BR800
ok, volume is fixed, and the title too. Maybe soon I will mix it better or perhaps just move on to better things. Thanks to those who gave excellent advice on previous version.
and the #2 version has been deleted (actually this is #2).
A typical folk song.
Written and recorded in about an hour for the 24 hour album (attempted on March 13th). Excuse roughness and vocal glitches, it was 2am and this was my first full take.
Thanks to montgomeru for his chord suggestions…
Recorded in 2005.
Joe Silence - vocals and all instruments; tracked by Joe Silence at Spit Recorders.
Mixed by Joe Griffin of Toxic Bag Productions.
The guitar solo is not actually a guitar.
Requires work. Would be the first thing to say.. not least the bloody clipping. Just wanted to post something to prove im not dead.
The song is inspired by my counselor kindly allowing me to leave my guilt with her last time i saw her. i told…
I saw "the Watchmen"....got me thinking.
are we truly immortal?
will we live through the material passing
or have we died oh so close to the light
not from this earth
not bound by its laws
A slave of no one
I will move beyond

It's been tough to keep up lately, hope everyone is well.
Something I was working on as part of a larger project. When it's done I'll link it.
that guitar sounds sweet...dark vibe, a little unsettling - real. You have a unique and ultra cool voice that really shines on this one. Not sure what Norm has added hear some brush ambiance? It all but disappears when you start to sing...
This is a song i always wanted to have a go at and it wasn't until Johnny let me have a go on his representation of it i got my chance. Thanks Johnny for letting me have a go, may you rest in peace............
She's left, your drunk and on the floor not able to see a future, your friend is trying to help, your not listening, he obviously doesn't understand you need the drink..........

I like this. It's really quirky and catchy and a little tipsy...makes me want about 3 or 4 gin and tonics!
this is a real beauty. Pure bliss.
This is the new hit single. Off the charts...love that solo...that's how to solo mang. Your brown is shining.
Love the way ya play that wee 4 string bugger. Truly brilliant...and we don't throw that word around lightly out here. Best vocal of yours.
