James Michael Taylor my absolute pleasure...was really fun...you're in TX right? What town? Your whole vibe is so there...it just has me grinning from ear to ear ....so much of the American I love...from my uniquely un-American vantage point
MOTHER'S EYES
I used to chide my mother
She saw the loss in every face
The cemetery. The old folks home
along the way
I used to laugh at Mother
She saw the pain in every eye
Now time has passed
and Mom is gone and here am I
And…

This one is really nice! I downloaded it so I can listen a lot more. The guitar part fits perfectly. Your voice is so distinctive -- Leslie was playing the song on her phone and I recognized your voice instantly. (I think it was the first note you sang that gave it away!) You are amazingly talented and I continue to be impressed by your knack for writing thoughtful lyrics and for your incredible output of great songs.

Hey James Michael Taylor! Excellent Song and a beautiful Story! "There She Was" That is probably one of the longest songs and the story was so sad! You are a Singer and a Poet! Beautiful Voice! Thanks for Sharing! 🤗
Still struggling with this one...

I wrote this at my dad's urging. He likes it. We sing it together. I have YouTube Video of it up.

Listening again, this is an awful version of this song...

IF ONLY
You are my favorite If Only
If only I'd showed up in time
If Only's the name of my pony
And we're always a little behind
If only, if only, if only
It echoes thru my lonely life
If only, if only, if only
I think I'd be ready…

HEAR MY FINAL SONG

Two were dancin', one he played guitar
He was singin' how she broke his heart

To me, as a songwriter, I have come to the "conclusion" that what I might say to explain a song is functionally THE BRIDGE. Your explanation adds so much to the song maybe it's bridge time.
MONOLOGUE
I found a hole, it's in the wall
And reaching up, I crawled inside
And to the stars I gave a call
To grant a better place to hide
I cannot leave the hole I found
The chapel for my dark despair
I do not seek to hang around…
Very interesting commentary...
And, thank you for listening to my song.

Jan 17 2015 - Remixed. I was always kinda disappointed with what the original mix sounded like. Listening to it the other day I realised what it is - I'd mixed the vocals too loud. This reduced the "stereo" and killed off a lot of the life…
I have been wanting to do some Cream covers for awhile now and with the passing of Jack Bruce it seemed an appropriate time to record some sort of tribute to him and the band.
This is an instrumental song I composed roundabout 7 years ago. Finally we got around to recording it with real instruments, and the band is:
Frank Zax: Guitars
Andy Gupta: Bass
Mark R. Cole: Drums:
Steffen Offermann: Synthesizers, Music…

That's cool. Lots of layers. 3D.
It really has that driving-down-the-blvd feel.
Very blusey. Great guitar sound.
Soooo pretty.
