The lyrics of this song,
as they pertain to plot,
are my exact memory of the event.

I remember those daze Michael, y’all were awesome and I’m glad and proud to have known you all and have you at my Raz On The Braz festival so many years ago! Love ya my friend!

Sorry to hear about Barbara. Texas Water was as good as you say. I’m thinking about adding “I’ll Be Glad to Let You Love Me” to our band’s set list.
One of the beautiful things about artists and songwriting is taking “fact & fiction”, and whipping them together in ways outsiders usually don’t know which is which or possibly nothing at all. This is something I’ve always admired regarding your craft!

So sweet.. and I relate sooo well. I only had three, but birthing them in 4 yrs, they seemed double that in number at times. And we were a share the bed family too. I played my guitar and sang for them to put them to sleep. I still have memories of the peace that held for me, and I think for them. Gwyn Henry

For years, now... I am quite familiar with Jimmy's body of work. I have labeled many of his songs as "masterpieces." This morning... I realized this JMT song transcends the term "masterpiece." Is it Jimmy's "Somewhere" or is it his "You"? No, it is "simply" a great example of Great Americana Art. Just think of how many aspiring songwriters (such as myself) would gladly go down to the crossroads and talk with Beelzebub... just for a chance to be able to claim they wrote... and then produced... such a song. Bravo, Maestro! Bravo!

Peggy taught me an Eagles song toward the end off our life together. I think it was NEW BOY IN TOWN. I had no idea what she was telling me. I took the chord progression from that song and wrote this song with it. Peggy thought that was cheating.

The 1st time I sang this song in public was at a Nashville Songwriters Association meeting, Fort Worth chapter, and a woman burst out when it hit her. I can hardly sing this song without crying. I really know how to push my buttons.
"...ha! Push your own buttons… I know hat you mean. I listened to the song again to refresh my memory…omg it is so pretty! And yes! I remember well, I did get it that the watermelon man was his father. In fact it brought to my mind another disappearing father, that of my daughter Lisa. He passed several yrs ago. So too late for him now. But your song has beauty and meaning for a lot of folks, I am sure." Gwyn Henry

LOVE THIS!! Just listened. I'll bet Dale would love it too, He passed in 2019, I just read in wiki, at the age of 85. Your comparison to his doctore may have been apt: He beat colon cancer twice and lived on another eleven years. And he left us his amazing music! - Gwyn Henry
About someone (who may or may not be myself) who may have smoked a little too much of a particular herb in the past.

With my hand on the bong

I thought so little of this song at first I filed it away in a folder on my hard disk called "nogood". About a year later I listened to it again and changed my mind.
Another old one. I sort of call it my 'Ram' moment !!! As if !! Anyway, I can remember I wrote this 3 or 4 weeks after my mother passed away. Yeh, I know, a strange song to write, I like to think I was celebrating her life. She was a great Mum…
Terry, Just so After "Sleep" is not a complete mystery, that entry is music and f/x I'm submitting for scene a movie. With the sound track and the picture it all makes perfect sense.
Don't know what to say about this. I fell out with God a while back, and still find the whole notion of a God pretty disturbing. So this song is something about how I relate to God now. No peace and unconditional love - more an insidious sense…
Jip and JB in the Jipster studio, sitting down with guitars and a few beers, and many laughs. It was almost abandoned at one point, but we pressed on. Here's the result. I don't think the mouse has a name.

Joe Brunelle - I like this, Jim
Lazarus Knight That's a really good song. It resonates with truth.
Tim Tandy Brilliantly haunting! Like a character in a Hank Williams song, you're telling a poignant, sad story, but NOT seeking pity.
"Wow, beautiful." Ken McIntyre
I like that a lot. Its a fresh perspective. Lazareth Knight

Mix your voice so we can hear your lyric or include the lyric in the "about" section. I want to understand what you are saying.
Wish the voice wasn't so buried in the mix... Sounds real good.
Like it...glad you dug it back out. Sometimes we are too close to something when we first do it.
Nice waking up music...and then...very interesting story and treatment.
