Lovely tribute, and that's some smooth slide playing right there. Reminded me of George Harrison in places - hope you don't mind the comparison (meant as a compliment).
Now that my album Texas Tonefreak is almost "out of print", I'll be posting the tracks up here.
Kip Siewert on harmonica
Philip Waite on drums

Gotta say, this is one of the best recordings I have ever heard (amateur or professional)! The balance between the instruments is absolutely amazing! This track is blues jam perfection!
Waiting For The Lights To Come Back On
Yesterday after a storm rolled through, we lost power. Recorded two separate tracks with the Little Martin using the handheld, then laid them on top of each other.

Written today.
recorded on an iMac with the internal mic and no headphones (!) so it's probably going to be muddy as hell, but that feels about right for now.
LYRIC:
Fill up the glass, Bartender
Ply your art
Quench the fire in here, now…
Sister Savage has a little star in this track!
Melody based on 'ah! vous dirai-je, Maman,' by Mozart.. the original composer. I think it's the first and second variation of 12, but that was like 15 years ago that I learned the piece so I have…
the first multi track piece that I actually finished "in the box" in Cubase. An ambient kinda thing that grew out of playing around with the Line 6 DL4. Not sure I like the bow parts, but I may re do it later
you used to be a person in your shell
now you're just a shell
so big inside your home
the turrets face the lowly masses
so big inside your home
obvlious to the world as it cries out
and the sun begins to shine upon our tiny world

start here at the airport
feels like im going blind
middle of the day in a dark bar
1000 miles away from peace of mind
im tring to remember
when i was a kid
did the sun set in my back yard
i think it did
what comes before and goes on…
Man this is incredible. The off kilter feeling of the music belies the deeply personal lyrics. Like being in a funhouse with a slanted floor, but someone is crying in the distance.
you are like the rain that falls with the snow
or is it the other way around
i dont know
all i know is i love you
and cant get above you
it is driving with no place to go
the muscle and the bone i find
that keeps my heart in line

Nice! Groovy guitar sounds
Pretty neat - loss of power and found Derrek Bailey on the way:)
Kavin this is right out a fusion in one of the great duo albums of Towner/Abercrombie, wonderful vibe and feel.
Interesting!
I'm jealous. This is great.
Bluesy, jumpy, what more could a chap ask? And I'm loving the sound of that harp too.
Thanks, all. Kip is hands down the best harmonica player I've ever heard.Phil was such a great drummer, too, RIP my friend.

it was a very good week for you, I see!
It's a rainy day on planet Texas, and I've been listening to A-tone on the BIG stereo. This playlist fit the bill nicely!
Had to click play on this because of the title. Glad I did. A delightfully convoluted track.
FYI-Removed the psychedleacoustic vol. 4 playlist and put the songs that had been favorited into the best of playlist. thank ye
Is it classical or jazz? Love music like this that blurs those genre lines.
Very cool. Somebody been to the crossroads.
Freaking brilliant remix!
Rock on with that DL4 dude!
Manoman. The mixture of sounds blows me away!
I like this..zz.z.zzzzz
Wifey says this sounds like Bette Midler. I say naw, better. The horn section is genius too.
oooh. Midified guitar. Yum!!
Hey! That was nice, I wanna hear the rest!
This entire album is imaginatitve and, well, different, in a very good way. I wanna DL the whole thing.
Wonderful guitar work!
Like this one alot!
