Ditty #9 for the RPMC album "Bones".
I'd had this rolling around in my head for about a year now, and even played it live with the SD&Q trio. Didn't quite turn out as planned, which is not unusual.
Ditty #10 for RPMC. I really had a hard time trying to come up with the final track, so I fell back on the old loop/delay/ebow improv formula, which I had hoped to avoid on this album. Kind of acoustic Breaking Light. Well it crossed the finish…

My RPM challenge this year: acoustic guitar instrumental album with no more than three tracks on each tune (ok, maybe four!)
This one is a single track with no overdubs. On the 12 string, the 4th,5th and 6th string pairs are tuned a fourth apart.
very excellent,,, once a long time ago, when i lived in Del Rio i built a 6" newtonian,, at night i used to go down to the end of the road,,then on to the dirt and set up,,, with a dark sky from horizon to horizon,,,, wowieee,, Orion has always been a treat,, if you have a scope or even binoculars,, the sword contains one of the best of all treats to see,,, this is a really nice piece,, im on #7 for my rpm....
Beautifully crisp Kavin.
I understand your love of the universe. Tess and I were gazing at the crescent moon and Jupiter last night totally spellbound. Makes one feel very small!
A test track of sorts.
I typically mix a track, bounce it out to my ipod and then go for a drive. The stereo in my truck is kind of boomy and if I get the bass wrong, I'll hear about it. This has been a matter of a certain amount of guesswork…
My first attempt at a Blumlein or Mid/Side recording. This one is actually a mid/side recording as I used a directional mic in combo with a figure 8 ribbon mic set at 90 degrees from the main mic. Thanks to Pat Broaders for the loan of the ribbon…

Not really finished, not even sure what it is. I jst felt like playing some loud guitar...
EBEGAD (Capo III) and EADGBE.
Percussion = Norm
Guitar = Rick
Vox = Emily

We started with this

I hope you both…
This little toe tapper is simply a baseline of guitar, bass, and drums, with horns and guitar providing the solos. It was also a song I just couldn't find the right lyrics for. Oh well. Enjoy.

HYSTERIA
poem by: T.S. Eliot (1888-1965)
As she laughed I was aware of becoming involved
in her laughter and being part of it, until her
teeth were only accidental stars with a talent
for squad-drill. I was drawn in by short gasps…
Jqscutt had this guitar riff that he sent me and we worked out a song with bass, rhythm, lead and drums over the internet. I posted it for a collab for some key additions. This was added by TiS friends K-Lyd and Coruz. Later, they found Liam…
Well, here is a new version of this one. I was not playing my own guitar, but one of a friend, which doesn't sounds so bright. Anyway, i think this is a better interpretation, but still has some mistakes. (this time is well tuned..)

Great playing.
Nothing wrong with acoustic breaking light as far as I'm concerned. Nice stuff man!
Sweet! Like the slide work
super pretty! I love the change at 3:20
Very lovely - evokes feelings of dusk in the summer time.
Beautiful playing man.

''Closing Time Lullaby''
Aptly titled. The last song of the night should be a lullaby.

Just heard this over on the RPM site. Badass harp, slide gtr and song!
I don't know what these chants are or where from, but I'm loving it.
I just realized, at about the one minute mark, you can just hear my bud Charlie tinkling on a toy piano offstage.
Very nice. I see some Ultratouch radiant barrier insulation on the Home Depot site, is that the same stuff? I'd like to use some in my vocal booth.
HNY 2 U C8mE!
great sound and playing, must try that since I have a pair of matched condensers.
excellent, Doug. I played this simultaneously with Shakuhachi's soundcape two for a unique listening experience.
Really love how this has developed!
nice minimal acoustic funky, I like it.
Cool tune! Thanks for your comments buddy.
nice spoken word piece and the music provides the perfect backdrop.
Good reinvention! Love DJ!
"open up your eyes and close your mouth.." How many times I've wanted to say that! Good job yawl!
Love this one. Really spoke to me but in a completely different way than your comment suggested.
I do too!
gettin my shotgun..
THis kicks.
Wow. I used to be able to play that on my 12 string (!) but never got near this proficiency on it. I'm impressed.
Wow! You must have some organizational skills...great mash! I like the reversed gtr and various treatments.
Cheers Chris! Fantastic video too.
