very nice,, im not sure what you mean by gband experiments,, is this all written and done on pc? however it's done it sounds pretty good,, and yes the piano at 1:30 ish is very cool
Messing with pitch adjustment in Garageband (and getting a bit carried away)... I use this primarily as a 90-second countdown for competitions in my 7th grade math class (kind of a Jeopardy theme song).
Someday I'll actually teach myself how to play this song for real... Only a drag-and-drop composition for now, but awfully nice to listen to (particularly the gentle part at around 2:00).
No, this is NOT me playing... Just some arranging of drop and drag samples out of Garageband for Mac I was messing around with while learning how the program worked a few years ago.
BETWEEN - 11-27/28-12
I step out of the car
I don't know where we are
Somewhere between a planet
A planet and a star
I never dreamed I'd end up
in a place like this
The Multnomah Falls is up the Columbia Gorge
Somewhere between Portland…
A bit of improv done yesterday with my newly refurbished fretless guitar. Finally got the midi pickup to track almost right! Part of the sounds were gotten by rubbing a teaspoon on the strings.
i was trying to work on a piece for a shark video of mine, but this is what came out instead,, my piano moments collections are the small musical threads that emerge amongst/while i am working/thinking about other things,,,
Richard!
The song seems to be playing here on the site okay for me, so something must be up on your end. As for the RPM site, if you look under "Latest Discussions" halfway down the right side of the page, you should find reference to the Holiday Challenge...
...And if the song won't play for you on Alonetone, you should be able to listen to it in my player.

Texas hold em poker, and going for it all. Open mic acoustic with some alt tuning. Percussion by Norm.
The kokiriko? Norms playing in there actually sounds like shuffling cards- particularly loving the glockenspiel addition he did…
I'm not sure if John really had intended to write a funny lyric, but we thought it was funny - and so this became a funny song. At least I think so. :)
In the beginning there was a stupid little synth demo. This is what became of it with a…
...But now as I listen to this version, I think I prefer it... And I suspect that's how I'll feel every time I listen to either version. Ah, the beauty of great music.
Outstanding. I think I prefer this version as well. Both are outstanding. I say keep uploading multiple versions. Seeing the same great artist sing the same song on a different night is always a little bit different... And always worth hearing.
For Elly Barnes
Thanks for the moment to think......

To think for a moment
Is the greatest of gift to me.
To think without fear
Better still....

Faved instantly... GREAT arrangement, T!!!... Sorry I haven't been around... Busy time in the classroom, September is. This track is a spectacular reminder of why I need to listen more often.

Theres something I would share with you, if you ever asked me to.
Perhaps it is a secret, perhaps you already know.
Im not the boy you look for now, but I could change.
Im not in love with myself, but I think I am with you.

Knowing we are all here...
Under the same sky......

Under the same sky
We can share a light
At any time
Or stoke it
till its heat holds no delight
Under the same sky…
Faved instantly. Y'all are the most original, unfettered, and uninhibited artists I know. Truly brilliant track.
Seriously floored by this one. I need to do exactly as Gary says.
Noodling with the "art guitar" in DADGAD tuning in the Serra sculpture Vortex at the FW MOMA. No fx added, all natural reverb/delay inside the structure.

There are a good many (like myself) who merely play (or at times fight with) the guitar. Then there are a very few (like Kavin) who truly are the guitar.
Kavin, both this track and you as an artist are simply magnificent.
Man, I get out of the loop for just a little while and Kavin drops all of this amazing guitar work her on Alonetone. There is no better, "Hey, welcome back, where've you been?" that I could have asked for.

Cave Street posted a track recently, their contribution to the Woody Guthrie Project, organised by Akron Family.

I wanted to take a shot at this too, so here's my demo. It was really just half…

Very nice - Perfect vox/acoustic balance. I really like how your guitar is recorded.
For drag and drop mate this is very cool.
Nice one mate dig it.
Sounds good mate, does Garageband work in windows
Nice one mate.
Nice one mate. Very cool dig it.
I apologize in advance for the slight run into "cheesy-ness" at around 0:40... A bit "Romeo's Tune-ish" there for a minute, but all in good fun.
Just some more drop and drag... Personally, I'm addicted to the little "Thomas Crown-ish" piano runs at around 1:30.
It does love you Sister Savage...it's just shy. :)
Can't get this to play. It obviously doesn't love me!
Ah, so let me see, you're playing while the kids are working? Sweet! Cool composition!
Well done , nice mix.

Faved instantly. Sooooooo good. I need to take a day, do myself a favor, and go back through the Reefwalker catalog of musical goodness.
I need to get my ass to Texas for one of these live gigs and get my head properly fed. GREAT track.
Great production! Grinning through the whole thing.

Just outstanding. Beautiful tone. Just first rate listening, Kavin.
Double woot!
