This song is based around a sample that I took of my dish washer. The sample starts out simple enough and then gets more chopped up at the end. The song evolved from there. Also in this song is a new pedal I got that is a photo theremin. You…
My first composition that uses an odd time signature for a few measures. My drum fills are also more elaborate. It's just a little tune to bob your head to, tap your toe, you know, the good stuff!
Compositionally this song started out with the drum pattern and grew from there. I'm not sure why I chose the title 'Mad Man' but in some ways I thought it was fitting.
Anyway, this song is dedicated to crazy geniuses whose academic work is…

This has got me all nostalgic!!!!
Sega Master System....
Revisited!!
The game Composers were Awesome Musicians!!
Little to work with... But Still made it sound Good!
8-Bit Goodness!!!!

Haha. I used some samples of disco drums from my old keyboard for my latest track. They might be overcompressed. The track sounded really good to me last night before I uploaded it. Upon listening some more to it I hear room for improvement. I like to experiment with sounds that I previously would have skipped right over, i.e. disco drums. I hope I did Jimi a little bit of justice with this here little homage.
This song is a tribute to the space monkeys named Albert. They all died tragic deaths of various kinds during their forced service to the American space program.

those are all good points. I thought about putting more crowd noise in during the song; I should experiment more with that. This piece would benefit from more percussion, but there are several tempo changes in there and I don't have good drum samples for that. The midi drums on my software sound like sh*t so I decided just to pull the track out of the oven and serve it up as it is.
When are you going to post more tracks? I want to hear what else you've got to offer us.
And let me know when you're ready for the robot voice sample.

...and, yes, those kids and i share a lot of love; they can be pretty amazing; its a good therapy : )
:) Nice stuff. I'm digging the vibe. Whatever the mics this sounds good. Great harmony vocals. I kept waiting for drums and bass to kick in but this sounds really nice.
comes to the senses
a sweetness so sweet
and deep
that the tongue curls
and presses
hard inside the
mouth
holding, for a moment, and for another
the throat catches
closes
so the sweetness cannot pass…
Thanks for your comment on my voice! Made my evening actually. :) I'm pretty shy about it actually...
Anyway killer guitar playing. I've never been much of a guy who noodles around on the fret board or does much lead work so I really like tracks like this! Cool tune. This is a helluva lot longer than anything I will ever write! My hat is off to you.
This track was my attempted submission for Ramen Music #001. I finally got around to uploading it here.
It was made using several instances of the Max for Live instrument "Loop Shifter" that I played in real-time using my Novation Launchpad…
Love all the different sounds and textures. I sure am a sucker for textured and layered sounds in music! Some really cool 'underwater' sounds! Thanks for your recent comment on my newest song 'The End'.
Another one rebuilt after my freak SD card initialization fiasco. The excellent solo work was done by my buddy Gnasty - I love it!
This is the second part of a two part song. I'll get the other part up next hopefully.
Badass Solos: Gnasty…
Nice guitar! A little hot in the mix (maybe just a tad) but it's pretty sweet. Cool song title. This reminds me Alice Cooper and something else I can't quite put my finger on but this is nice! Where those guitars recorded direct or was the amp mic'd?
The Flying Bear features a nice fusion of funk and rock that leaves the listener both satisfied and excited. An experimental vibe is very prominent during the song's bridge, and the entire song can be rooted back to Soulstice Music's Red Hot Chili…
Now THAT was interesting. Love all the sounds and the experimental quality to this. Great synths. Sort of reminds me of Radiohead in spots and also old school video game music. Pretty slick!
done in 2006. simple, keeping the objective of 'spaces' throughout the recording.
certainly not the most endearing song, but i like parts of it.
this song, among a few others (thisisntsomthingyoucancatch) were songs that i lost all my un…
Great stuff. This reminds me of music I listened to as a teenager and I enjoy it a lot. Love it when it picks up a notch at the 0:49 mark. Sounds great in mono BTW. Excellent production and mixing. Well done!
Thanks for your recent comment on my song Tuba Man.
Nice vibe and groove to this one! It brings to imagery of me sitting out on a porch in the wilderness, the sun is setting, and the animals are starting to stir in the surrounding undergrowth... or something like that. This just has a 'feeling' about it that is nice and comfortable!
The first time we played this tune, the drummer and I played it, spontaneously, almost exactly as this recording documents. But we'd never heard it before, had no chart, Kelly was just playing it on the bass and singing a bit, and our parts just…
Thanks for your recent comment on my latest song! I just moved house and am moving back to my roots of drums/guitar/bass so be on the look-out for new material. This a cool groove to it. I miss playing with a live band and coming up with new songs out of thin air. This reminds me of that experience. Nice and raw and has that awesome first take magic quality to it!
(this track's a bit hot, mind it doesn't hurt your ears, please)
So many reasons for sorrow. One sees from within sorrow, and sees only sorrow. But we must look awry at these weeping walls, these streaking-blind windows: they are of our own…
Those drums and guitar sound great! How many mics did you use on the kit? I can hear some bass going with this but that would change the feeling completely.
Thanks for your recent comment on my music! I know my songs are a bit on the short side! I'm working on that. :)
A collaboration that involved 5 musicians over several parts of the world. A crazy stalker tune - Has a soft/hard/soft format. Recorded with The Boss Micro BR(MBR), Mixed with Audacity and then mastered with the MBR.

Love the bass line to this!
Oh, yeah - A head scrambler!!
Oh, those kick sequences are definitely a Mad Man letting loose! Great piano patch - That really made this I think. Sweeet!
Yes - I love it. Very brooding sound, but I suppose that's how a dishwasher should be!
This has got me all nostalgic!!!! Sega Master System.... Revisited!! The game Composers were Awesome Musicians!! Little to work with... But Still made it sound Good! 8-Bit Goodness!!!!
This is very engaging! Love How this is Put together!!! Perfection in a short burst!
This makes me Go all Funny with the Effects... You Rule!!!!!! Goose bumps as well... Dont know why....
You are a true artist, stunning sounds here.
very cool sounds.
The drums would sound very cool with some ping delay, bouncing from left to right and then back again.

Thanks for your comment! The vocals were recorded using an MXL 4000 mic.
Cool! I dig that ultra fuzz tone. Give us more tracks buddy.

Lol, nice. I'm feeling this tonight. Sounds like you had fun making this one! See what I'm saying. Post some more stuff.

Love the cicadas in here! Did you sample those yourself? Awesome soundscapes. Otherworldly at times. This would be great for a cinematic piece!
:) - Pretty killer and groovy. Some hints of U2 in this one. Nice job!
Man this is funky is all get out! Cool stuff. Reminds me of when the room starts spinning after you've had too much to drink!
Great performance on this. Love the backing vocals. I would bring up the percussion just a bit though. The lead vocal is killer, nice effects on it!
Pretty slick. Nice soulful and groovy. Cool bass line. Definitely a RHCP flair to this. Love the guitar shimmers.
I dig your stuff. It's familiar and different sounding all at the same time. I'll have to download this one and see how this track develops!

Interesting transition at the 1:30 mark. Good stuff. Nice recording and production as always!
Wish I could play piano! Thanks for sharing your talent to others who wish they could! Beautiful soulful stuff here.
