Nice one
Pictured about is my new 19 note per octave guitar which was used extensively for this piece. For more production information http://chrisvaisvil.com/?p=800
The text is from an interview with a Japanese woman after the 3/11/2011 earthquake…
Hell yeah man have at it! If you need me to email you the files let me know. As for vocals I had my wisdom teeth pulled last friday so no vocals from me right now..might be able to drool onto the mic for a bit, but that's about it. ;)
First track I produced on my DAW...just tryin' to get the feel of thing at the time (no manual...well...a manual, but it's in Japanese...so same thing). Anyway, it's pretty simple...programmed a drum track, threw down a fretless dub line...threw…
not nearly as nice as the original

nonetheless I'm hopelessly in love with the flatted 5th theme.
I liked it. In my music theory course.."Many moons ago" my teacher only played piano. Being horrible with sheet music as I am, it took forever to transcribe it over to guitar and drove me insane. So I say good at you Chris. If I only had then attention span for music like you and Norm do :)

I'm like a tumbleweed, got no roots
I'm like a climbing vine, leaves and chutes
Come tomorrow, I might not be around
Come tomorrow
I'm a reflection, you see me in your mirror
A missed connection, so far and yet right here…
Thanks! Amazing track! I heard it before and like it but finally had a chance to really listen to it tonight. Love all the elements of the recording, guitar deep and low, with a floating trem lead, and deep vox. Fav'd man, fav'd.
This tune hopefully shows the culmination of my musical influences (namely, Mick Karn (R.I.P.), Adrian Sherwood, Bill Laswell, Jah Wobble...) while also painting a visual picture...as it was written and recorded in one day after I went free-diving…
I live way out in the woods and when I play guitar the frogs, crickets and coyotes sings along. This is an interpretation of that interplay and my amusement of it.
About a place in the world that is very special.
But It would be just another bit of rock if it wasn't for the people I shared it with....
This one is called “Stoneâ€...

I've decided that I like this. It's the phrasing of the lyrics over the music. Very clever. Also I think the midi drums fit well with it. Has a 90's feel to it.
This evolved out of an exercise in a workbook I just got on music composition. The original task was to write a melody in the Dorian mode about water...
Thanks man! As usual I was just screwing around, it has hints of the new cd..let's just say it could almost be an unplugged album..but not in the way you normally think. :)
I just decided to upload this one again, as a separate version. It's the same record, but i've re-equalized it and doubled the main guitar an octave up.
A different flavor of the same thing. I hope you like and/or enjoy.

Thanks man. I actually had a version worked out with some heavy guitars at first, I might have to re-visit this one.
