Political Folk. About the sexual hangups and illnesses of our culture because we don’t know how to talk to each other and our kids about sex and agree on what’s right or wrong and where the lines should be drawn.

Eyeballs gleam beneath the balls of flame puffing out the stream of smoke
Rumors grow, they’re telling of the child who was flung in the lake

Lyrics by Adrienne Harvey. Music by Randy Nixon, Jr. and Gene Eric Mann. Vocals by Harvey. BG acoustic rhythm and acoustic bass guitar by Mann. Remaining guitars by Nixon.
Neat groove and some dark, I hear a kind of Jefferson Starship influence, perhaps it's in us all. Thanks very much for your several recent comments re my trax. There's no good way to thank someone other than post a comment for them and perhaps that's a good thing. Best with your muse Gene!
This is the bonus track for "The Best of GEM" playlist.
APATHY AND GREED

A May Day/Beltane dance song. You may like this if you’re Wicca, Pagan, Druid, or just like dancing about a May pole, but I wrote and recorded this for my soul-mate, Jennifer. Blessed be!
A fun little Blues jam. The BG rhythm/drums were generated with the Yamaha E313 KB. All other noises are my fault.

Pretty cool and imaginative bro. As i was listening I could imagine a break beat drum patch behind this with a little synth too. I dig the thunder at the end.

A Sea Shanty with a bit of Psychedelic seasoning. Guest artist Starry Nightmoth performs the “harmonica” on a Yamaha KB as the song fades out.

To me, as a songwriter, I have come to the "conclusion" that what I might say to explain a song is functionally THE BRIDGE. Your explanation adds so much to the song maybe it's bridge time.

My idea for the song was, what if life was a bar, and all 7.5 billion earthlings were group into just a handful of characters that could fit into a bar -- what is everyone doing? What are they thinking?

Thanks for commenting on TRUCK. It's something I wrote for DARK BLOOD, River Phoenix's last movie. It plays while the nuclear explosion takes place.

Looks like your How to Assemble has reached 100 plays, and all 5 Currently Kicking Ass tunes are STILL How to Assemble songs, but your is on top. Congrats -- I'd call that a hit, and you are once again "The Featured Artist" -- and that's a damn good choice!
This is the third, maybe forth time I recorded this tune.
I like this one best.

A tearjerker I made for the ones that are hurting inside... I created my own backingtrack before adding my guitar track (nylon stringed little Höhner) and finally my vocals. I hope you like it. Warm regards, Anna.
Oh, and I dig the lyrics too. Everything but the drums, which I don't think the song needs. Hope you're not bothered by me saying that, cause otherwise I think the song is gorgeous and exciting.
I enjoyed this, particularly the vocals – awesome control and delivery – and the chord arrangement. But I’d honestly would love to hear what this song would sound like with the “drums” removed from the final mix down.

This is an IDEA or blueprint for the solo of a song I wrote called the same 12 steps. It's just a snippet and it's unmixed but it's just so pretty to me. This was one take on each track (backing/lead) but I think alot of the reason it turned…
Just being honest, the title doesn't seem to fit. Could you tell us more about how you came up with the title or what it means to you? But, even for only being 43 seconds long, it really is gorgeous -- I love it!
In Surry County, NC, where I'm from, we have a community called Possum Trot, just down the road from Pig Shin. I noted you played my "niaR" (Rain), and I appreciate it, but out of 81 songs, it is the one and only like it, and I know it's not like anything you do. Please don't judge my music and style by that one backward noise mix. I've been checking you out -- Nightmoth, Merry Bear, and Justin Otter Guy are all me. I dig your style. I'm from the heart of Appalachia and I grew up surrounded by musicians who reflect your style and I respect it, highly.
I liked this one a lot more before realizing (after all of the tracks were finished) that the guitar part is awfully similar to a Throwing Muses song from the brilliant House Tornado album.
My plan to double all rhythm guitar and vocal parts…
OH HOW SWEET! Pretty strumming, cool bass and rhythm, tasty vocals, lovely poetry. You're a sharp cookie when it comes to songwriting and recording. Rock on!
You're always retuning your guitar into sideways dimensions, but it always comes out far out groovy. Suits ME fine! This is a great tune, but that's to be expected from ol' Rodger Dodger from Across the Pond! I'm so into your style -- Rock on!
Well Will got me all inspired to tell a yarn after listening to his remix of adious http://soundcloud.com/ramseywill82/nevermind-adios-your-just-a so here it is.....i finally got round to it hope you enjoy....Reg
If Louis L'amour and Marty Robbins had ever collaborated, you would have gotten -- not this! Tis a Western from Hell! When in Mexico, watch which cacti you chew on, or you might get a vision similar to this mix down! Frightful stuff, BUT FUN! Rock on!
All the singers' voices blend beautifully together. A serious yet fun song. Great job, guys. I've only have a matter of weeks left myself, according to the docs, so I really got into this in a morbid kind of way. Anyway, ROCK ON!
OK, for the 3rd day in a row, I woke up with your voice singing this song in my head, and I carry it with me all day. If the responses to a songwriting challenge were judged by that standard -- how stuck it gets into one's head, then no contest, this one has possessed me!
Comments on Gene Eric Mann's stuff
Ah yup.
You definitely achieved your goal. What a cool premise.
love the way the vocal repeats in the chorus

Thank you. Very good and I will share..
Blessed be indeed! I dig the flute key / sample.
Bass is awesome!
Harmonica makes everything better, nice job. Vocals are good too......

great work. freaky but very easy on the ears. good listening in the head phones.
Very very interesting....brings back memories of the 60's and the "White Album" ...Great stuff... now where did I put that bong:-)
That took me a minute. Love it.

About as good as it gets..........
The video for this, by Starry Nightmoth, is gorgeous -- come check it out, y'all!

Rock and Roll, Baby!
You are a fabulous vocalist -- again, as I said of the previous mix down, great control and delivery.

Sweet lead guitar break, nice vocal mix, interesting arrangement of chords.
I would say your experiment is a success. I dig this composition -- it's truly delightful. Great job -- a winner!
