Lyrics
Take the lift and your half way up....
Reach the top and your half way up...
You didn’t see your rise, and Lost your way.....
Looking down on the world your tears fall...
You Missed the Beauty of the climb.
And now you’re…
Amazing track my friend...you have a great way with words and how you deliver them. I found out the climb is the best part....hell i just started it not to long ago....

I got me a new Cajon.
This is the first time recorded it (or played it for more than 30 seconds to be honest. My son keeps telling me to be quiet, then jumps on to it himself... ).

This instantly takes you on a trip through your mind. like being swept up by the wind.. Then after two minutes the wind changes and leaves you wondering where you are and what will happen next..
It was about sunrise when I met this guy on the streets of the French Quarter and bought him coffee. I don't know if he's still around -- that was some 20 years ago -- but a two-hour conversation affected my life more than I would have ever known…
It was in the garden of the house of help that Reg walked and tried to decipher his problems .................everything seemed to have a similar beat and it was causing him some confusion.....................
when you wake up
and it feels like its further away
you get discouraged
could it have really gone unnoticed
what you're tryin to find
isn't so black or so white
it's more rooted in faith and less in fate
what you're tryin to find
isn't so gift…
whoever's house it was forgot to turn the balcony lights on
we felt around and kicked the ground for a place to sit down.
you were cold so i gave you my coat, and you came close.
we just sat there, on the swinging chair, breathing up the air…

9? Hey, you are not a cheap night out! Oh, nice speaking voice. Good track!
Intimite and heartfelt. Love the spoken word parts (always find that hard to pull off - works crackingly here).
beautiful sound man...
I love this song - it's one of my brightest faves on Alonetone. This live version is wonderful.
I am so behind on my listens - nearly missed this funky little number! Great collab!
Would you please write me some lyrics some time? Words seem to come so easily to you. This is precious.
