As requested, here are the lyrics.
On the night stand is a clock
counting down the waning hours
'til the fiery fingers of the dawn come crawling through
Burning eyes in morning sun
the engine turns more slowly now
driving down a silent…
@ James - I am using Cakewalk Sonar to record and mix with. It's very easy, and allows me to have so many tracks going at once without making my computer blow up.
Thanks, Gene. Thanks for listening and thanks for commenting on so many of my songs. I definitely have a formula for writing and recording that has been molded around what I think are my strengths and my weaknesses. For example, I will never, ever be a drummer, but a pair of brushes on a shoebox and a shaker can sub in just fine. Same with vox; I'm not a great singer, but I know how to squeeze my voice into harmonies that cover some shaky vocal work. I'm trying to break out of that formula and do more single vocals, lately, and it's been tough but rewarding. Again, thank you again for being so gracious to me and my music.
And @ Kirk and Wendy, thank you both for all of your support over the years as well!

Shucks, thank you so much. It is humbling to hear this. The music industry at large makes my blood curdle, so I've hardly ever tried to push past the boundaries of my friends and family with my solo music. I know I'm out of step with the sound of the times. If this were 1967, I may have had a chance to at least get a label to talk to me, now, I'd run from any person who said they were from a label hahaha. Boy, things have changed. In any case, it's heartnening to know that my music is being heard and appreciated outside of my close friends. Thank you so much for the encouragement!
my contribution/offering to this years RPM...Does it ever happen that angels or devils perhaps walk among us mortals here on our earth?? Winter Nacht is a 11 act dialogue between two travelers who meet in the winter twilight, on a road in the…
Glad to finally be getting some listening in. I've been meaning to check out your RPM stuff this year, and I'm going to have to listen to this whole sequence/work in one sitting to get it all in. This is sounding marvelous, Richard.
Short of commenting on my own stuff, I can't figure out how to talk back to you all. Thank you for the comments! I've been spending a good bit of time on this record compared to most of my albums, and it is great to get the feedback.
...and Wildgeas, I can't believe you downloaded them all hehe...
At the 23rd hour we consider whether we've made the right decisions.
Written and recorded less the 48 hours before the end of the RPM challenge deadline. I wonder why.
Is this our 23rd hour
Sixty minutes to go
Are we counting the seconds…
every time you show yourself
i'll let your image float away
I'll let your image float away
you have no power
you have no power
you have no power over me
All right, so one of those silly songs needed to find its way onto the album. In an effort to teach the students on my middle school team about rhythm in poetry, I wrote this little bit of foolishness about a fictional character (so yes, you…
On your recommend, I'll dive into newer songs. Keith, you are a great story-driven songsmith. The stories in your songs are always interesting and well formed. Keep it up!
Hybrid analog/digital rock and roll. I'm trying out some new guitar FX and amp sims in Pro Tools.
They are not so bad all distorted and fuuzzzzed
up.
I tried to sing it, but hey, you know, I give it hell though right?
It's a Goddess of War…
As the song says, this is a song I wrote for the RPM Challenge. I simply took my actual experience beginning at 12 midnight on February 1st, and a couple or three hours later I had my first song. The player takes away the intensity of this track…

I dig your style -- it never seems to fail you. Rock on!
Wonderful track. Wonderful harmonies. w;-)
I like what you do.
What program are you using.
Wow! I love this song. Sounds so old time and the lyrics are amazing.
Really great song. The vocals and style bring to mind some work by Dawes, one of my favorite bands. This is cool!

Thanks for the feedback, everyone! This was a really fun album to make, and I tried to push myself out of the comfort zone as much as possible.

Oh wow, one of my fave tunes. Fantastic job on this one. I am such a fan of the stacked vox, and this is a prime example of how good that can sound!
Another fave...
Oh, hells yeah! This is like a long lost track from Heavy Soul by Paul Weller. Awesome riffing, vox, mixing, etc. Instant fave...

Beautiful. It's restrained and emotive at the same time. Well done!
It's like Tiny Tim on helium!! I love it.

Please please show up at my door one day so we can record an LP together hehe. Always a fan of your stuff, Andy.
Delicate and beautiful. Great track.
Whoa... The production on this nails Jeff Lynne's style around the time of Roy Orbison's Mystery Girl. Cool!

Once again, wonderfully Bowie-esque. This track coalesces into something fierce. I dig it.
The percussion is so understated and fantastic. What a cool sound.
Totally wild stuff here. It's like some bizzaro universe Steely Dan at times. I love it!
What a tender song this is. All of the elements come together so nicely. I dig it for sure...
This is awesomely hilarious! Well done...
