Name inspired by an episode of Sliders, song has nothing to do with the episode and is pretty self explanatory. Features Gilly (http://alonetone.com/toolniner) on lead axe pumping out some sexy licks.

Believe it or not, I was sitting in a hotel room reading Tolkien when I came up with this. Actually, the amazing thing is that I actually remembered enough of it when I got home a week later. Needless to say, this took a lot of time to record…

Another of the "Recipe Songs". Maybe not as successful as the first, but much better than the others, which I have omitted. Originally Recorded on a Fostex 4-track cassette and remastered.

This was my attempt to write The Great American Song. I guess I didn't really achieve my goal, but I think it came out OK anyway.

In one part I harmonized the E Phrygian intro with G Mixolydian, thought that was kinda neat. In the original tune I like the lyrics: "I am not a sailor, I am a captain, I am a captain." Electric guitar kicks in around the half way point.

The fourth and final Hurricane Irene song. Also, the worst of the bunch, which probably explains why it took five months to finish it. At least it's better than the last piece of garbage I uploaded. The hurricane was somewhat of a letdown…

*Pilón* reveals a Cuban pattern, traditionally played on Timbales, but in this case on Jr. Congas & Congas (with gated reverberation and flanger effect). The rhythm of Pilón is based on the motions of pounding sugar cane. A new son reveals…

My "banjo-centric" arrangement of this old minstrel show tune. I recorded it for backing tracks for my live set. I kind of wanted a fiddle solo, but I don't play fiddle. So in the middle there's a little "fiddle synthesizer" - just a couple of…

I kinda started off with a synthpop sound in mind, and it became a really fun collection of various synth sounds.

This is a cover of a song by Pete Loeffler/Chevelle, it was in the movie "Daredevil". I actually used a bass on this song, did it in one recording and didn't miss a beat switching back to guitar!

Inspired by the "Metal for Life" Column in the Guitar World Feb 2012 issue, I stuck to the original etude probably only 80% or so and changed the arrangement, plus added an extra solo section in the middle.
