one cool thing about piano pieces is that they lend themselves to being rearranged for other instruments, since the piano encompasses the entire range,,, this is a pared down version of my last weeks submission le baiser apres-midi = the afternoon…

You asked the other day about the story behind Sleeping With The Ghost - I've been wracking my brains to remember what caused it.
It's pretty much out of my head, and I was exploring the break-up of my first marriage - although I'm not sure I actually knew it was breaking up at the time I wrote it!
I think the imagery came from a children's program on UK TV when I was younger? I think it might have been called The Mandeville Ghost, or something like that, anyway. There is a ghost of "Sir Geoffrey of Mandeville" documented - contains nothing like this though.
Also, the legend behind the plot in "The Hound of the Baskervilles" had a quite a bit to do with the pictures in my head when I was writing it.

oooo, very nice. I liked the original, and the flute addition is wonderful (for some reason the sound of a flute takes me nearer to "an afternoon kiss" than just piano alone does).

Barry Morse organized a fantastic multimedia Happening for John Cage’s 100th birthday at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Krannert Art Museum. I took time lapse video and recorded audio from my vantage point. Presented here was a moment…
The core of the music is heavily inspired by Joni Mitchell. Its been spinning around for years in my head so hearing this song finally recorded feels good.
I just bought a new Gibson SG Standard guitar with P90 pickups. I bought it after listening to Steve Krell's Gibson Gold Top with P90's.
Here is my first recording with the guitar.
Lyrics:
Sitting in my living room
Sunlight will be fading…
I got a new amplifier and instead of doing what I should have been doing I did this. It gets a little crazy in the middle and its microtonal so the vocals are gonna sound out - but I enjoyed it. Yeah, those be drum loops. 15 notes per octave.
who among us is to say, just exactly what we should have been doing?,,,, this is a bit,,, like a stretched out canvas,,, nice,, and here's to what happens when we should be doing other things r
Another lyrically-challenged collaboration with jip1965, who sent me a guitar, bongo, percussion track with a recorder playing named, simply, 'Love'.
I added the piccolo, crystals and windchimes from my virtual keyboard, renamed it 'What is…
fun and yes very fun,, i was listening to a radio story last week, about the times when "well known" people met,,, Elvis did meet the Beatles,,, apparently he and his minders did not even know which was which, they just said things like hey you beetle etc,,,, nicely put reg..eur elvis
Well if it was a dream Reg would have met his wife on the Dance floor but as it was'nt he met her at the Bar ...of course.....and if Reg was a musician instead of a singer it may have been in time too......

I think I love…
Reverie by Claude Debussy arranged for piano, violins, and violas.
Reverie may refer to:
A daydream
A dreamy state of mind.
reverie, an instrumental composition of a vague and dreamy character
“Rêverie”, a solo piano piece by Claude Debussy

I've been trying to put another one of Mike's poems to music, but not getting anywhere.
Then jip threw this music at me, saying he hated it and asking if I could do anything with it. Pieces of Mike's poem went in and I sent it back to jip with…
Well Reg got to thinking about his Hippie past and that its nearly time to go mushroom picking again before that first frost............i had nothing to do with it by the way....i'm innocent your honor ......Honest "Guv"....
Picking the Shroom…

back when I could access usenet still I made a newsgroup for amateur musicians and there was a nice group of 20-30 people who contributed and listened to each other's work. There was a woman named Emma who did a killer…
A cool mixture of MIDI and conventional instruments.
Slide guitar courtesy of my trusty Zippo lighter.
There is no better lighter / slide :) Buy one, it could save your life.
For M.T.
Enjoy!
Had written this one many years ago. I had it recorded originally in a different key and with different instrumentation but it I just was not happy with it. I deleted the original lyrics for the chorus and added a bridge section and lyrics. I…
