Okay I need to say a few things. Please read before listening! I did not do the 24 hour challenge but I did try and hang around in the chatroom as much as possible with Glu, SisterS, and ChrisM while they battled through it. At about midnight…

Hi Kirk. Thanks... I do have a crazy selection of effects these days which is responsible for a lot of the sonic mangling I can do. Over the next year or so I'd like to get more selective and more competent about the results :) I also think Yelyah's onto something. This might actually be a "track" if it had more structure. As it is the micro-structure created by automation isn't enough. Lots of things to work on! Thanks again. m/

OK- I'll admit I didn't listen to the whole thing, but I did hear about 6 minutes of it and it's interesting stuff! If I knew a tithe of what you do about manipulating sounds in software I'd be a league ahead of where I am!!

Yelyah, thank you for the encouraging words. You're right that I have a pretty unsophisticated approach to what a "song" is. It's a facet I've begun to notice in everything I have done so far, that it is structurally uninteresting. Guess I need to figure out how to take the next step! Thanks again. m/

I listened to the full 24. :) I dig what you've done here and would definitely call this music and not noise. I would like to see you create some separate sections. Like, a breakdown for instance, where you go for something totally different rhythmically before returning to the original idea. Keep on experimenting! :)

Bethan you're very kind to even attempt to listen to this! The kick drum that runs through the track is the source of most of the sounds, just mangled, tortured, and beat into shapes & frequencies kick drums were never meant to reach.

Full of fun, rhythm and interesting sounds. Trying to work out what some of them are, very cool!

This is quite an old track that got abandoned because I didn't feel it was right or going anywhere. But listening to it in iTunes this morning I thought it passed muster. I don't think it has enough variation to justify it's length but it's gently…

Honestly I have no idea where this came from or how. I was messing with Omnisphere patches and came across a lovely, flutey, breathy sound that put me in mind of the scenes inside the monolith at the end of 2001. I setup a Rytme pattern to…

I'm learning to play piano and my teacher has given me 'Old Joe Clarkes Boogie' to play. For 2 weeks it has kicked my ass. But I'm getting to grips with it now and this is my revenge! The musical parts were recording using my Kurzweil SP3X…

man i really dig this one. The sounds and mood you achieved here are just stellar.

I needed 2m02 to finish the album. I was completely spent and without a drop of creative juice left. Just noodling with an Omnisphere patch when one of my cats, Mississippi, jumped on my keyboard and proceeded to walk up and down and sit on various…

So this track was purely for the fun of it. I was messing about in Omnisphere and came across this wonderful sound that reminded me of the guild highliners in Dune. I built a beat around in using Stylus, Ricochet, and Dubstation. Then added more…

Sounds like a sexy girl robot getting ready for a night out. That sound at the end is her zipping up her silver thigh-highs.
