I'm working on several version of this art song by Charles Ives called The Cage from 1906. I would be very interested to collaborate with a vocalist (the flute line or an octave below) - and the vocal style doesn't have to be operatic - probably…

Well, I had this crazy idea that *maybe* Buddy Guy was using some microtonal inflections in his cover of Tramp (which are what the "blue notes" are and thought it would be cool to cover it with my fretless guitar. As it turned out it was my ear…

Kav makes an excellent point. These folks are just attention whores and hypocrites. If a person or group of persons really wants to burn some books in their back yard or behind their churches then burn them quietly. If I organize a group of people to help me rake the yard and then we set the pile ablaze it's nobody else's business so long as we have things under control. Why advertise? But as we know history repeats itself ad nauseam. The churchy people admonish the likes of artists such as Marilyn Manson and they practice the same sh*t. At the very least don't be hypocritical.

I heard on the radio something about some guy in Florida wanting to burn a crayon, so what? Who cares if he burns a crayon and I do not think it sends a message at all. Crayons are just wax and some food color so who cares. But if he wanted to burn all the crayons everywhere I would say woo hold on now , how could I color this picture of me kicking mohammed's azz if you burn my crayon. But he just wants to burn one or two so no big deal.Anyways cool tune.

Mr. Jones' congregation is about 30 people strong. I wonder who is financing this whole bonanza. Armed sermons? Now there's a church for me.
Praise God and pass the bullets.

Well done. I'm all for free speech, but I question motives of those who want to burn books, flags, etc. for any "cause". I think the burner's seek attention for themselves more often than not.

I found my answer "These pieces are recorded live in my home studio. They are made with an electric guitar played through a laptop and a dedicated hardware looper."

Thank you for the comments on Sympathy for a Friend. I didn't use a synthesizer. All of the sound is from one take on my 19 note per octave guitar + effects.
Sort of a Tuesday improv...
Built up around a synth texture that I built up with:
Operator->FilterStation->Volcano->Kombinat->Panstation->RP-Delay
(what's the fun in having plugins if you can't abuse them)
Heres a collab with Wildgeas Music a beautiful bit of music hope i did it justice with the vocal............
Tomorrow (Lyrics)
I know the curse of the darkness is coming
those dark nights that will feed upon my soul
with no forward glance of tomorrow…
So after hearing some of Stephen Krell's outstanding picking, I asked him if he'd like to play along with any of my songs... I can't be happier with the one he picked to add his banjo to (seeing as how the song is written about my favorite Pete…
Different recording here as the electric guitar, bass guitar were not plugged in, just recorded raw with a power mic and then EQ'ed to make it sound amped - pardon mistakes!
Nice song - I did finally get around to listening to it :-) So this is literally unplugged hard bodied normally electric instruments - I've never heard of this being done before - awesome idea!!
Comments on vaisvil's stuff

Interesting,,,, i also just listened to the cage but could not leave a comment or fav ......my how we change/evolve over time...
yeah! those guitars are some killers in action!!
Breathtaking performance.
awesome
Impressive progression.
Great song writing man. It's fun being the whole band. Sticks and all. Love it!!!
I am so much loving your guitar here. So creative and cool sounding. All blue notes hu? Sorta Hendrix or Trower like isn't it.
Whoaaaaa, deep and cool tune. I got shivers all over listening to this. This one has the spook.
When I was a lad we used to melt crayons to make multi-colored candles (it was the 60's), seems to me more constructive than outright burning crayons.

A crayon may not be such a big deal - but intentionally harming your neighbor is. If no one stops first - it will never stop.

What do you have in your ambient rig? I am enjoying your work!
Hi Bethan - I have no idea who played it - but they did an excellent job. The midi file I found somewhere in the 90's.
wow - another side totally! I like the string / piano combination.
