I picked up on one of Norm's wonderful grooves.
I added some bass, guitar, horns, and a basic drum track. Kicker and snare with a few cymbols. I didn't want to walk on Norm's fine, fine, percussion.
Thanks Norm for allowing me the opportunity…
Nice track man. Real somber feel and some smooth guitar and mix to top it off. :) thanks for listening to M.T.C radio as well. Glad you found a few you liked!! I do believe this labor day weekend I need to get some serious listening/recording done as well. Geas Radio will be playing loud and clear in my humble home!!
a sad walk through the devastion ......excellent.......I take it everything is ok with you and yours ...... I hope it is.......it looks real bad from the reports on the Tv...
the zoom H2 is battery operated - or if you wish it can use an adapter. The guitar I used is this one http://chrisvaisvil.com/?p=436 Brad converted. Any noise is from the Marshall amp which seems to have a ground problem - at least in the room its in at the moment. I haven't been listening much because I've been editing a lot of video and it brings my machine to its knees.
Welcome to my 300th Alonetone upload! I sit with a pile of books to read in a house full of boxes and my studio is not even completely set up; however, I had no choice but to write and record this tune today once the sun went down. This song is…
my entry into the 2008 Sidedown Christmas challenge.
I tried the original Mel Torme chords and version and it just didn't fit for me, so i came up with my own chords and arrangement.
this was done around the same time as g=gone so it's a…
One of the things about my [Glitching Satie](http://alonetone.com/sandbags/tracks/glitching-satie-1) track that I wasn't comfortable with was that it wasn't my recording that I was using. But I'm nowhere near good enough to play a piece like Gnossiennes…
So this bloody flakey thing is still developing and I have started to play with some vocals. I have also made lots of small changes and changed the rhythm of the middle section completely
Bit long this but stick with it.
Paul is a foreign chap that lives over the road from me in a house that he built with his own hands. He is almost completely deaf and shouts at you when he talks. He is self sufficient and makes most things from…
for REALZ, this is way far from being done. this is an oldie from a previous duo I was in, VC Andrews, (http://www.myspace.com/vcandrews) and i wanted to give it new life. Listen to the old version at the myspace page to hear how it's going to…
A song written for my dear old friend, Kirk Lynch, who I've known for almost 20 years. For those who don't know, Kirk and I live less than an hour apart, but I swear it's been five years since we've seen each other in person, which just ain't…
"Stupid Punk Song" is... well... stupid. I woke up one morning and the entire song, lyrics and all, was stuck in my head. I let it rattle around for a few days before putting it down on my new 8-track. I played it for Break Even once but they…
The riff was inspired by an electronic device that has two speeds. I kept switching back and forth and listening to the hum popped this into my head. The lyric was supposed to be George W Bush bashing (the twit) but I don't really know what…
One of three songs with lyrics written about my RPM 2009 strategy. Something about this song appeals to me. I think it's my favorite one out of the ten.
Early morning
no sun in the sky
undergrounded
sleep still in my eyes
Buried alive
I try…

This is my 2007 Pirate Day song, written and recorded September 19th 2007. I like the innuendo, but maybe it's too subtle - nobody else seems to notice ;~)
We celebrate the passing of a great musical instrument. Hobart M. Cable, the piano lent to us this summer, is going back to his kind owner, Danny. He will be dearly missed.
We hastily wrote this little ditty in his last few hours in our possession…

Mournful sounds...guitar tone is perfect for this one, and I really like the sprinkles of piano here and there.
