Nina's Flute
Wildgeas Music
This is our little bundle of joy now grown up to be 10 years old. She took up the flute this year at school and this is her first effort in front of my microphone.
She decided on the flute after watching some vids of Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull.
I recorded 3 minutes of her playing and then cut it all up and put it back together again. I added some noise to go with it and this is the resulting piece.
Of course, I just love it.
I’ve seen my kids faces light up before, you know, Santa, Easter Bunny, fireworks, etc, but I never saw the expression I saw when I put some reverb on her flute.
My face lit up when she said “it’s in B flat Daddy”.
Hopefully, by next year we can start doing some rock and roll.
So enjoy Nina’s Flute
Signed,
Proud Daddy
This is great! She has got a handle on the instrument, and this is a fun/enjoyable listen. You must be so proud of her!!!! Bravo LG
This is truly fantastic! What a magical, ethereal sound! Love it.
AWESOME! ~ Michael
Trippy & mezmorizing. Took me away for a bit there. Thanks for the meditative experience.
Really like the sounds and beat with this too.
wow this is really good!!!!!!!!!!!! What a talent!
Yeah, very cool. You need to record some more of this kid. This reminds me of the hookah smoking caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland.
Oh my. Makes me want to follow it...like it's an eerie but compelling light! Can't wait to hear more!
I completely understand your reaction. My youngest has three favorite songs of mine we used to sing together. She's all of 14 and too grown up to admit it, but she still loves the songs. And I still smile thinking about it. Nice work on the effects. Tell Nina she plays very well for her age. And the more she plays the more she'll enjoy it and the more others will enjoy hearing her play. Big regards. ER
Awesome playing and mix! Actually reminds me a bit of some of the stuff from Meat Beat Manifesto's "At The Centre" and "Off Centre" albums, and that's a good thing. :)
That's just the bee's knees! Wonderful playing, Nina, and choice effects, dad - Far out!
Nice work, Nina! My 12 year old son plays the flute as well, and Ian Anderson is a huge hit around our house too. Great collaboration.
That be good be. Mighty cool.
Great great! Keep up the flautation. Learning an instrument will reward you the rest of your life!
Wow Nina, very nice indeed. This has a rain forest feel to it, I like Dad's sound effects as well. Looking forward to hearing more from you. Love Bethan x
Go Nina!
