ok, volume is fixed, and the title too. Maybe soon I will mix it better or perhaps just move on to better things. Thanks to those who gave excellent advice on previous version.
and the #2 version has been deleted (actually this is #2).
crazy good guitar tones, I like it.
keep it going...love this so much Id love to colab....what is your email?
good shit as we say out here in the East coast!
Nice track; the bass & guitar fit well together, tonally. I can't upload an unsegmented version of MFR to alonetone because of the 40Mb limit, but you can download it here instead: http://www.sinuata.net/sounds/mfr/sinuata-%20MFR%20%28unbroken%29.mp3 enjoy!
trying to send you some info but it doesn't seem to be going through.
more tracks fella.
ohhhhhhh beauutiful fuzzz
Inna-Garage-Band-a-Davida! Very 60's Psychedelic Feel!
Yeah, definitely has a cool retro rock feel! Love the spoken word stuff too - especially in the intro.
itunes->preferences->playback->Sound Check is the thing that is taking the quiet mp3 from garageband and upping the volume (it's probably normalizing; meaning it scans the file for the loudest part of the wave and adjusts the volume such that that loudest bit is at 0dB - or some other set loudness) Little known thing in Garageband... Track->Show Master Track Now, click the info button (bottom right). You'll see that you can apply all kinds of mastering presets here. Try some out. Congrats on the audio interface.
re:ghost, thanks for the feedback. I tried uploading it earlier with the levels much lower (not redlining at all). The result was that the volume was o low on alonetone you could barely hear it. I deleted it, went back and raised the levels till they were just barely hitting red at loud parts. Result was louder volume on alonetone, but still pretty quiet.
in regards to your reduced volume issue, it is most likely because the recording at some point in the signal process was distorted, so when you mixed it down in garage band it 'auto-normalized' it, meaning it reduced the volume to a point at which the signal on the main out in garageband was not distorting (red lining/going past 0 db). i would look to make sure that none of your inputs are red lining or that the mix on the main out is not red lining, then when you mix down in garageband and send to itunes the volume will most likely not be reduced. now as far as the song, i look forward to when you eq it and such, it has this kind of lounge demented sound to it. i imagine myself in a gritty scene potentially on an old nearly broken elevator.
