Cave Street posted a track recently, their contribution to the Woody Guthrie Project, organised by Akron Family.

I wanted to take a shot at this too, so here’s my demo. It was really just half an idea and then singing it so i remembered it tomorrow, but i like how it turned out.
updated to a slightly less impromptu version
It’s another kitchen table production!
Aww, man. My cousin's youngest just turned one; his name is Arlo. I never axed my cousin if they named him after Arlo Guthrie, but I guess in the back of my mind I always assumed they probably considered that when they named him. "This Machine Kills... Fascists." written in Sharpie marker on Woody Guthrie's acoustic guitar.
Was not Woody Arlo's dad? I am not as familiar with Woody Guthrie's body of work, homework for me then, this is cool.
If I was, then you were definitely Woody in a previous life!!! This is great (like all your other stuff)
Excellent version! Did you send it in to the Akron/Family? For anyone who is interested, my version is [here](http://alonetone.com/cavestreet/tracks/woody-guthries-america). The web page where the various versions are being posted is [here](http://akronfamily.com/woodyproject/Splash.html).
Big fat fave. Love this, Stu - your voice sounds awesome (and I love those low down dirty notes especially!).
Really enjoyed that Gumbo.
