Featuring Mark Hubbard & Duma, on didj & percussion respectively, this one begins as the most traditionally structured piece on the album. But don't get used to it, it doesn't last long... just enough to ease you into the formlessness…
All first take improvisations. 8 tracks of madness for your enjoyment. Ear goggles will put you inside this piece. Not recommended for the faint of heart!
Recorded between 9AM - 7PM on the 26th of February.
Nice. The intro brings back memories. I don't know what you created there by combining those digital and organic elements, but I like it.
It's an unsettling atmosphere and makes you think.

nice for reading to so far. 5:30 in. relaxing. 10:30 in now . something dark is lurking. mysterious. like the cool sounding "sequencer" pink floydy stuff.

@kavin. - lol, that's just it: I did not persevere --- *I gave up!* :-)
The 'real' songs will be coming along before too long... but unfortunately they are too late to count for RPM...
These were just my glimpses into formlessness... but you know how it is... the longer you look into it, the more you realize there are layers of order within the chaos.
I'm just tryin' to surf the chaos.
...or at least stay afloat!

Loving the percussion of the first 2 mins. From then on, it felt like being inside an erupting volcano, until the end when it just shot from ear to ear. Most clever indeed.

Here's another little something that I somehow got sidetracked on posting.... Thanks for the jams Norm! One of these days I'll bounce something fresh your way....
A "remix" I did a while back that got lost in the shuffle. The original was for our 2010 RPM album "Onion Bell" and can be found here: http://alonetone.com/cavestreet/playlists/onion-bell

At one point, I had a version recorded with much better guitar -- at least I thought I did -- but I can't find it now...
Another one of those tunes that kept growing after the demo was laid down, this song now has twice as many verses as you…
I did this weeks ago & then found it again last night as I was archiving old files. This is one of those one-off improv sessions... I recorded the rhythm guitar in one pass, then one "lead" pass and then one vocal pass, and done. Even the…

Here comes my life again on the upswing
feels like I've been down
for so long
like a carnival ride
I'm not scared of the heights
as much as the ground below…
A song about the upcoming End of the World.
They tell me that the world is almost ended
the calender runs out and there's nothing more to say
The sun will flicker out and leave us all to die
So many things will be left undone
You and I will…
Hey Dave, I haven't seen (heard!) any new music from you in a while, but if you've heard anything awesome around here in the last year, please add it to the thread:

Have you just not been doing music or are you posting it somewhere else?
This is an invitation, with instructions, on how any AT musician can hop a train in the US and get to my house for a jam session. Figured the lyrics needed to mention all 3 of the collaborating musicians home towns cuz they all run along these…
Using my DIY 23 edo guitar, DIY electric cello, and DIY electric psaltery I recorded the wind playing these instruments after they were tuned in just intonation or harmonic series relationships. Adding to the harmonic series nature of this composition…

Ben jij echt?
(Sorry if I have chosen a poor translation for my comment!)
The guitar part and part of the words came first- the song was not easily written. I had to force it a little, and finished it today after having fragments kick around in my head for over a month. I hope the words and performance live up to the…
Poor old Reg was just getting it together and he went and got hazed, it just wasn't fair he didn't stand a chance.....poor fellow............

This is my complete entry for the 2013 NaSoAlMo. The album is called Radio and it's a suite of seven songs tied together with the sound of a radio being tuned. It's done.
You said, "I am a guitar player" to which I reply, Hell Yeah! But when you say "and a 3rd rate songwriter" I just gotta BS on that one buddy! I love that you called this record "Radio" because I could hear all these songs being played on an old school Album Rock station like the ZOO in Dallas used to be. You need to pat yourself on the back for me man, this kicks ass! Now go change your profile! :-D

Great! I was missing the long prog tracks till I got here, heh.
Digging this musical exploration of yours. Very nice!

The combo of the clouds streaming by and your music is quite hypnotic! Thanks for creating and sharing this! - MT

Love the spooky ambience here
Probably not the best track to listen to in the morning when I'm supposed to be getting up and getting ready for work! Well done!
Yeah, perhaps just a wee bit! Different is good!
Yeah, Peter, you did good. Very nice track!
I clapped at the end along with everyone else!
WOah! Double nasty guitar and vox.... ....had to wait for the smoke to clear to leave this comment!
Please post the words as well.
Great mood, Chris! Very well done.
This is twisted. A lot of your music reminds me of John Frusciante's stuff.
green poop is some funky shit!
Dig it!

This is kicking ass, man. Your guitar is rockin, killer riffs. Are these mixes different from the individual tracks you posted?
