Featuring Otis Maly on Organ.
Maybe it’s a trick of the light
The way your eyes shine at me
I don’t want to fight and I can’t take flight
Somethin’ tells me I’m gonna see
Just what spell you put on me
I can’t let you out of my sight…
The sounds recorded for this piece represent some of the oldest known musical vibrations combined with some of the most modern electronics: the iPhone.
Featuring Mark Treefrog
This one features Treefrog "playing the wind" on a talking drum...
She’s like the wind
that moves through the night chasing ghosts
She sees the lights,
she sees the shadows and she knows
There is a difference
between the day and night…
In the morning, when we awoke, there was nothing. There were no ashes from the fires of the previous evening. The time for decisions was past. "Yes" was the answer to all questions; and none was the knowledge retained. Wisdom laughs at such folly…

Dedicated to my friend Paul Lennon.
Once You asked me
If I could see the end
It's okay to tell the truth
I don't want you to pretend
And I said I would not lie
But I don't believe it ends
It goes on And on Forever Forever
It goes on…
Hey! It would seem that you are the first person (apart from me) to listen to my rpm album in it's entirety! Hope you liked it! :o)
This is a lovely song - reminds me of latter day Leonard Cohen.
PS You mentioned my lyrics, if I have time I will post them on each of the tracks.

I have touched and I have known
the memories of stone
And echoes of the oceans
are etched upon my bones
My body's of the earth
and my spirit's of the sky
My mind is of the matter
these memories will never die
So let's go down below…

It was about sunrise when I met this guy on the streets of the French Quarter and bought him coffee. I don't know if he's still around -- that was some 20 years ago -- but a two-hour conversation affected my life more than I would have ever known…
A single track of improvised chromatically tuned congas in 7/8, accented with clave, guiro, cajon and quinto.
(For those who may be interested in collaborating on this, the triplet phrasing of this groove may be most easily counted like this…
Reg is trying to find escape from all the bad news surrounding him, his age, his life, the world as a whole, He needs to escape he can not do anything to help the suffering people of the world apart from maybe send money, he can't change this…
Mellow morning mist fall
Melting into day
This summer said son, you are lazy
Don’t follow any example, break every rule
After awhile you’ll find it’s so easy to do
Just stay within the limits of your love
Soon the air will turn colder…

recorded for the Japan benefit happening this weekend (right now) over at improvFriday. Stop by and help or just give a listen.
My father brought a koto back from Japan after WWII, I thought this might be a good time…
Dude! Thanks so much for this... I've just been overwhelmed with emotion lately regarding this disaster.... I felt moved to record an impov, but just haven't yet found the time/space to do it... I really appreciate this. Peace, Michael
I had an incredibly hard time putting this together, and then at the end it fell together better than I could have ever hoped. I guess I should scream my head off more often.

A major thing, This began as I sat down to lunch and did some musing about my old wind-up gramophone, as food poisoning set in I spent the rest of the day lying in bed thinking of lyrics, getting up to type them in, throwing up, and going back…
Shades of Floyd, Beatles, Phish, and so much more...
I really dig the guitar lead on this right around 9 minutes... And the keyboard lead at 12min. In fact, drums, guitar, keys, the whole production sounds great. It's quite impressive what you managed to achieve in the face of such overwhelming adversity! Thanks for sharing the story & the music...
Ok, Who HASN'T had the fantasy about the hot librarian?
This was originally intended to be sung by a friend of mine with a much higher range, but a massive earthquake disrupted the schedule. I wound up singing it down an octave, trying to do…
