Back in April 2007 I wrote a slow ambient piece of music. I started by computer-generating a nice chord progression, then slowing it way way down. My thought was to make the music so achingly slow that the listener would begin anticipating the…
This is the first tune for my 2010 RPM Challenge.
A bit short...my first attempt earlier in the evening (completely different tune) I ended up scrapping at 1:30 a.m., so this one was done in just a few minutes...

a culmination of the past few nights, alone, in the dark, a feeling has been lingering and this is my attempt at capturing it.
this is unfinished i think, i feel like something needs to be changed or added or taken away, or that it needs to…
yea what T Miesta said! hehe. This is something you drew from the atmosphere...the Earth...to make. You caught one of those magical moments with this. Seems you reached that place..who was it, Plato or Socratese talked about...a place where all creative people tap into..
so this song is an old one, one of the first tracks i ever made. it has a long and drawn out beginning and i am not too sure what i think about it (what's new...). anyways, i figured i may as well upload it, it is jsut sitting around anyways…
I understand what you are saying in your profile...

Love the sound efx in the intro. Mixes like this always conjure images..AWESOME how you bring the drums in at 1:51 or so. I for one am glad you decided to share this. Don't change the begginning at all..in my humble opinion anyway. :)

Hugs to all my fellow alonetoners who listened/commented on yesterday's track.
I'm looking forward to catching up on all of the great music you…
Came up with a proper title, because I THINK the tuning is open D minor. Thanks for the comments. And BTW, no overdubbing was used. Just used the stereo output from the Yamaha Acoustic Stomp pedal.
I always liked this traditional song based on the old folk tune, 'Rueben's Train'. so I decided to give a go. It was recorded a couple of years ago As usual more time spent mixing than recording.
