Disclaimer…
the first multi track piece that I actually finished "in the box" in Cubase. An ambient kinda thing that grew out of playing around with the Line 6 DL4. Not sure I like the bow parts, but I may re do it later
wanna hear this in a muddy english festival field on a masssive rig with lots of nutters off their heads ... am almost there now this is (for me ) where yaz should be drummer on a mission top num
Melodic, peaceful, and trance-inducing instrumental. Used a synth clav as the underlying thematic instrument, then layered a few other things on top. The "guitar" counter-melody at the end is me playing a bass in the upper registers.
this has tension where's the movie to go with it? deserted street scenes,a scrap of paper floats on the wind, no people a light goes off in a 3rd storey window just before sunrise, the blue hour, holding our breath ... tranquil yet ..uptight great num
Slack key guitar and baritone ukulele.
Hula version.
Pauoa Liko Ka Lehua is about the beautiful flowers (Lehua) of Pauoa. The double entendre (kaona or hidden meaning) involves a girl with swaying hips.:)
After an adventure in re-recording the entire song down a third, we came back to the original, tightened and tuned.
Always the self flagellating perfectionist, it still needs a bit more love. Always the pragmatist, it is probably done for now.
The first version.
This is the first and only song I wrote on [arrsuarez](http://alonetone.com/arrsuarez)'s Christmas gift to me, a mbira that he lovingly crafted by hand.
