Tell me with a straight face you were NOT thinking "David Crosby"! ;-) Really sounds like a Cros tune. Along the lines of "Wish I Were a Camera". Not that your voice doesn't work, but I'd love to hear him do this.

"Hey Motorman" was written for the 100 year celebration of the Ariel Lift Bridge.
The bridge was originally built in 1907 with a gondola that went from side to side carrying passengers and vehicles. It was later replaced with a lift system.

This is the result of a songwriting challenge that Andy took part in on a songwriting forum he uses
We were all given the same lyrics and then sent away to see what came back and see how different the results would be in styles etc ,

I was going to get another cup of coffee this morning, but I don't think I need it now!
Freight . . . you can really get all the jelly beans rolling in the same direction. Nice going!
Here's a new one, heard a saying on an advert, 'your home isn't a home unless... ' Out popped this, right let's see what you've all been up to lately, had a few days off. Catch up time.
I've been messing about with my virtual keyboard this week, in preparation of an amazing collaboration I'll be working on soon :)
Beat and sax are from Mixcraft.
Enjoy! xox
Virtual Keyboard? That is something I know nothing about, but I must say you have produced an incredible track here!
The whole thing, vocal and music, is captivating.
Good one Lady! I'm looking forward to your collaboration.
Wonderful Lyrics, and a *GREAT* message!
Right on Brother! Sometimes I wonder how we ever made it through our teens & 20's.
Now we are more or less respectable and still here. Go Figure!
This is the third, maybe forth time I recorded this tune.
I like this one best.

I wrote this thing in 1994. When I played it to some friends back then they went "yeah, but where's the rest of it?"
I've been struggling with that concept ever since. Then, a while ago, a couple of kindly souls removed that worry from me…

I've been working on this song for 3 years. I recorded it many times. I was never happy with it until Trevor(Regs) made it a song. Fantastic job on the vox man.
My submission for the Woody Project.
I started this jam in A minor then found out it was in C. So I figure I got as close as a guess can get.
I left it as is because it's a jam, and this tune should be jammed 300 million ways.
Enjoy Woody…

Puts my back in the 50s. Recognized Bethan's sweet voice instantly.
Excellent contribution Bethan! The Uke is a fun surprise. Added to the Playlist: http://alonetone.com/connor/playlists/cherry-pie

I don't think drums would have been right for this number. It's GORGEOUS! Nice touch on the banjo -- really good stuff!
heard some warbling going on in there. Some of your famous head shaken'? haha Nice harp and song in general
Damn fine song!
Ooh.. I need some red beans and rice after that! Lyrics remind me of John Hartford.

I like these "Story Songs".
Damn Straight! That's Telling them. This should keep us till the new song appears.
Beautiful. It flows well and the music really supports the lyrics well. I have to admit . . . I was looking for at least one *"GOOD GAWD"* in there.
*Ooooh! You are a softy Roger!*
I was going to get another cup of coffee this morning, but I don't think I need it now! Freight . . . you can really get all the jelly beans rolling in the same direction. Nice going!

Big subject and big sound to match. Well done! I think Tess is on to it, turn up the voice track a little. Harmonica is a nice touch.
Mrs R is right . . . *"It's ready"* You have acomplished what many can not; Offer a complete thought in a succinct manor. Nice going Andrew! You make it sound easy.
I see what jip1965 is talking about. The song has a touch of melancholy (at least to my ears). Very inviting. Good one Lady!
Lots of forward momentum for having nothing to say. I love it! I like the *"Dancing Girls"* idea that jip1965 mentioned. That could be a nice touch.
Excellent. Good foot tapper.
Good lyrics my friend. Always the optimist.
Lot's of energy. Ooh I just heard the lead break. . . Nice! You guy have a winner!
I'm looking for agates among the archives this morning. FOUND ONE!
You got me! Now I'm filled with inspiration! I think I'm going to play this in the car every morning as I go forth to tackle another day. Well Done!
I like your clear uncluttered approach. Very refreshing.
I like that sparse characteristic to the song. It's very inviting.
