One of my other hobbies is watching wildlife in the area. I'm the happiest with a pair of binoculars around my neck and my hiking boots laced up.
Rita and I took these photos over the last few days, near our home.

As an old forester, wildlife man...I'd venture a guess this is a pretty young "flyer." Great sscenes, notice old insulator on wire near shed...and the banjo music is wonderful...just wonderful...best to the two of you...v.g.
I'm doing just Fine with Buck Erpestad. Check out Bucks music here:

"So I used the tremolophone (vibes) and tuba sounds in Garageband and played them on the keyboard."

I wrote this song as a way to process some of the feelings of sadness, dismay, anger, fear and love that were brewing inside my heart this past week. I live in Minneapolis, where the terrible killing of George Floyd occurred, and the subsequent…
Original song by my friend and music partner Randy Arneson.
Recorded in Garageband using a pickup plus condenser mic on a vintage Gibson 12 string (2 channels of guitar). I have a couple different versions of this one recorded...
Due to climate change we've had little rain in the last couple of years

Here it is in all of its glory...
THIS is the song that Mrs R and I had decided was a suitable response to a request to "Upload something HAPPY, stat!!!!!!!!!"
I tried to record it back in 2013 when I wrote it…
Well done! The title is very inviting. I couldn’t help but listen.
I never found the humor, but rather a poignant feeling of loss, eloquently described.
A song that sort of wrote itself, quite quickly, wouldn't say it's a happy song, but
sometimes you can't help what pops out.

I BUY GUITARS
Em
One man might buy cigarettes and waste it all in smoke
Another marijuana and share a friendly toke
Am
Another, with more money, might invest in antique cars
Em
I buy guitars
A man might buy a baseball card
Keep it…
The other day I was having problems
So I called my son
Because he always helps me when I'm in trouble...
When the mouse can't see the dongle
The cursor is erratic.
There's something in the way
Move that chair
Hmh, maybe I Google it…
Another new song

Where in the world did we go wrong
All the bad guys are coming on so strong
We're slowly losing all our rights
A quiet revolution overnight
Whenever you think that it's not right…
No more covid songs....
Time to write about other things
This one's for my muse
I had uploaded an earlier version, but didn't like the mix
here's another version

(Remastered 22/10/2021)
I was asked (told?) to upload something happy. Hmmm, I thought. This will end well...
So, a few days later, I was rehearsing a pleasant little thing I wrote several years ago that has a working title of "She Was…

April rain storms are exciting but I am warm and cozy in side.
wrote this after hearing that some people suggest a dream before settling in for the nite. My J 45 really wrote this tune I just sang along

Cool! Was this at Cleary Lake or Murphy-Hanrehan? And aren't snow owls nocturnal? The banjo playing is OK, too.

This is like an Anthem! We need to share this with someone. Outstanding message and perfectly delivered.
I love that 12 string! Great singing, nice song.
That guitar track is addictive. Your songs alway have a great groove. And this one, It’s a real foot tapper.
Is that's what living in Arkansas will do for you? You are getting some nice clear recordings with your new set up.
Perfect blend Roger! I think we got the formula now. We’re headed for the stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is one of my absolute favorites of all time

Very pretty! Great message. I think this is my "current" favorite of your songs.
Ah the good old days . . . . We are all better behaved now.
This is a gem! I’ve been a member of the 12 step Guitar Buyers Anonymous for years.
Sounds like you are on a roll ! Way to pluck on them strings. If you play long enough you'll work off that caffeine rattle.
The title pulled me in. The guitar playing kept me there. Wow!
Still good!
I really like the groove of your songs.
My favorite line: “You saved me from going down” Nice uplifting song.
Great message and wonderful music. Your guitar parts are fantastic.
Nice Lead Break Roger! This was an absolute riot to send this song around between the 4 of us and now post it!
This is a fun idea to contemplate. See you when you land.
You are on fire! This is a great song.
Nice blues track! It’s tough when they come for your van. 🚘 Keep hitting those green lights🚦
