Imagine a Mexican quintette playing a fast waltz. There are 3 melodies played in 3/4 time, in a sort of non-standard ABCABC format. The title is a photographic/geographic/melodic play on words. There is a merging of European waltz and Mexican…
Beautiful strumental music that makes reflect,think,dream...Thank you for you comment about our "measuring desert".A see you know V.Galaktionov,i(Lena)was in the same classroom whis him in the music college in Moscow.Anyway,we like very much your music.

I decided to tap into my latent '80s Depeche Mode subconscious, and this bouncy tune popped out! Ian Beardsley heard an earlier version of this and immediately detected Spanish flamenco hidden in the techno dance chords. I opened up the stage…

Great mix of music and ray tracing. I like the sun setting on the horizon.
My studio door is open and the wind is blowing......my wind chimes are chiming.
Very nice music.

about your comment to my romance for orchestra: yes, I agree... how much I need a real orchestra!!! I really thank you, you know? I was thinking on doing that piece over again :) thanks again

This original melody idea was jotted down in October 2003 in Harmony Assistant, and I had written it thinking that someday I'd make it a real song with lyrics. While playing the tune on the computer, my daughter came in and said she liked it…

This piece is my original almost-fugue-sounding arrangement of my favorite Ukranian “Christmas Carol”, Carol of the Bells, as if J.S. Bach had written it. Ingredients: Warmth, depth, complexity, eternal romance. Dedicated to my Belle. This was…
The long sustain on the piano and the Moorish progressions do give this a "warm desert" feel, very contemplative and soothing. The flute accompaniment was a nice touch... I'd love to meet the flute player, she has quite a set of lungs (smirk)... those are some long un-interrupted passages of notes... that, plus the quiet beauty of this kept me holding my breath. Nice!

Wow, what a surprise and honor! Probably would have been a lot easier if I'd shipped you the chords/tabs/sheet music :-) This is really an impressive bit of work, reconstructing a song, with a very different feel, and have that new piece stand so nicely on its own. Well played and sung!

A folky ballad about the trials and tribulations that happen during home recording, in this particular case using a Boss microBR.

Let me tell you all a story, most of it is true,
a strange and twisted…
Bwahaha... sweet silliness. I enjoyed the poke-fun-at-thyself style humor, and a catchy song to boot. Thanks for listening to my stuff too (just wait until you stumble upon my "Grapefruit Song", speaking of offbeat humor.)
ttfn, Drakonis.
I'm a complete idiot when it comes to all things midi related. Recently got myself a midi keyboard though and came up with this short piece just messing with sounds in Proteus. Really looking forward to the possibilities of combining this sort…
Uh oh... I have a long way to go just to get up to "IDIOT" level then! This is a great little interlude, well mixed and cool voice ideas. It is a pretty sparkly spot of space you found.

This song came about a couple years ago as an acoustic piece, recorded without being fully written. It went untouched and almost forgotten until we started piecing the album together and were looking for a good driving tune. I think we greatly…
Ahhh... another sweet variation on this timeless classic (I happen to love this tune, and seek out wildly diverging adaptations)... very nice twist on the initial bassline, and instrumentation and drums were fun. Well done.

Drakonis
This song started off just on bass and was saved in demo form as "bass led", as in led by the bass. When I needed titles for all the album tracks, I ended up taking "led" and making it "LED"--light-emitting diode.
I'm so easily led by geeky wordplay. Still, we arsenic-kering at the title. Really cool dark bass line, which rises above the drums and makes this intoxicatingly moody. Nice.

My first Christmas original just off the presses with that cowboy, spaghetti western style.
Paul: Why don't you try Jingle Bells or something
Geas: Oh God,No, I hate the classics... that sucks......
Paul: Yea that does suck. Try emmmm, Oh Holy…
What great holiday ad-Ventures she is having! This is very nicely done (although I would BOOST the talking at the beginning to hear the banter better.) The cool surf music and quirky lyrics got me smirking all day now!

Delicious dark ambient. The repeated "slithering" sound effects are a little loud in the mix... I would back them off a bit, and maybe have them slowly come and go to add interest. But the slowly morphing chords are hypnotizing... takes me off to Babylon-5-land :-) The ending was unusual, which is probably a good thing, and although it was on the verge of humorous, I can always use a smile. Good stuff!

I spent the day skrewing around with this Roumanian Minor scale again. I am really testing layered drums on this one, Toms mostly.
There's a lot happening. Acoustic, Strat, Bass, 4 Juno tracks, and all kinds of percussion.
Only a two chord change…
Delicious and educational... and well scored too! I like your choice to close the bar with just the bell, really classy... maybe it is the percussion, but this has a vague middle-eastern vibe, like a Babylonian camel caravan.
Another song in the works that I have never been happy with. Now that Mr. Tolar has me feeding raw meat to the Ibanez, this is the result. So, it's either a rocker, or I'm off my rocker!
Lyrics:
It was yesterday
when she said
she's leaving…
An unusual hopscotch path... it is dangerous to score in a sparse way like this, there is not much room for error. But you did well, keeping my interest throughout, even though this is a bit angular for my ears :-) Well done!
The memories we shared in the city, sparkle against the black alley street as they tumble toward the storm drain and are washed away forever.
Or at least, that's the imagery in MY mind from this wistful thoughtful music. :-)

I feel the warm sunset on my face, the cool salty breeze makes me zip up my jacket as I stroll along the beach, slowly parting the sandpipers ahead of me on the crimson path along the shore. This is great... I love the occasional "major surprise" chord in there.

title is self-explanatory, past tense however.
i really wanted a song that had the flow, emotional intensity and unpredictability of an ocean. perhaps that's a bit cliche.

Trip hop track, may be listened as a soundtrack...
As usual we tried to create a deep atmosphere with loads of melodies to give the listener a little journey full of new findings every time :)
Anyway this time the BPM is a bit quicker : 87…
Pretty melodic harmonies, juxtaposed with a relentless beat and a little grit in the mix to create an air of tension. It is the beautiful girl who will not tell you certain disturbing things about her past :-)
Comments on drakonis's stuff
mmm, beautiful, what an imaginative composition. playful, mystical and fun.
This could suit to these beautiful fairy tales like Corpse Bride. Fantastic arrangement and magical melodies !
BRAVO! w;-)

Spooky wind chimes! :-) Predictably gorgeous, magical sounds from Drakonis.
Another one that I had missed the video for. Very interesting and the music is lovely!
Hadn't seen the video before- great stuff and the guitar was a nice addition!
going from minor to major tones.. that was perfect
The more I hear it, the more I like it... great work
Love the use of the voice. I use a text to speech engine and then edit within melodyne - gives realistic results.
Great stuff.
Each time I hear this, I hear something I had missed previously.

How cool that people are still enjoying this piece, thank you!
Mesmerizing arpeggios... intriguing to hear the melody rise out of it all.

ouch. Great raw music, with a powerful message sent to the heart of this other protective dad. :-) I liked your use of the guitar as the doorbell.

FYI - I just updated the accompanying video with this music, much better edits, much more information in the video, etc. Hope you enjoy it!
wild headphone pan-osity... a lament for what is lost, but what won't quite leave the mind. Introspective trance. Nice.
Brava for a song for babushka. This has a warmth and beauty. A sweet tribute, wonderfully sung and played.
