Something a little more serious this time. With everything that's going on in the world today, I sometimes need to know that someone is there for me.

Guess where I dreamed up something like this? When the choir members started walking up the aisle in a cadence of the Monastic Walk (3 steps forward followed by one step back, followed by a brief pause), the backbeat appeared in my mind. I worked…
Keith Landry used his considerable vocal talents on this song, and he made a decent song sound great. I added one or two harmonies, but the lead vocals are his. I think he did a great job. What do you think?

Sam did a great job on this song. Both the lead and backing vocals are hers. The song could use a little editing, but I thought you'd all like to hear it anyway.
Enjoy.

This was written during a time when I was away from home a great deal. My better half called me, and the gist of the conversation became the lyrics of this song.

Top Of The Pops circa 1972! Remember when all those bands in the early 70's where adding synth to every song but the lyrics meant something (sometimes)? Pure excitement, pure bubblegum, pure fun. Well, this is my offering and thanks to all of…
There are two main reasons you still hear 70's music on the radio. 1) the copyright has run out and the station doesn't have to pay royalties any more, and 2) the music is better than everything else out there. Your music falls into the second category.

My old buddy and collaboration partner Phil Close joined me on what is at or near the last song for my last album. I wrote the song and sang--Phil did everything else you hear. Dance in the New Year.
Dance, Little Sister.
Dance till you…
This was a large, somewhat unwieldy internet-based blues collaboration from several years back. I wrote and sang the lyric. AE pub collaboration!....lyrics and vocals by Tangmo harmonica by Tony(T.D. Brown)...bed by Scott(Riffmaster)....guitarst…
I used to drive a slant 6. Dodge Coronet 440 made in 1967. Slow and heavy and 12 miles to the gallon. Good thing I was in high school at the time. I was just glad to have wheels.
Nice blues here. Love the voice box/bag guitar work and the harmonica.

Love like a salt river washing away
Love's like sunshine evaporate
Love like floating candles blowing away
Watch out for the way you'll compensate
When I've seen all you have to give
When I'm still hungry
I need more than this

The B side to Dad's father's day present. This is an instrumental celebration of his 45 years in the printing industry, and an acknowledgement that while other kids got bedtime stories, I got the history of lithography..
Fathers often find ways of giving a part of themselves to their sons, and they do so in ways that can be baffling to the sons. Perhaps your father was doing that.
My dad was an engineer and a private pilot. He never told me a bedtime story, but he took my brother and me flying as often as he could. It was his way of showing his love.
Nice song, too.

So Jim of "Movement to Contact" asked me a couple of weeks ago to send him something...
I had no idea how ridiculously good the final result would come out.

Originally conceived as a mellow-ish, Stephen Stills sounding number (at least the verses), then the chorus came to me out of nowhere and turned the whole song on it's ear. I think that was for the better. I have to admit that I surprised myself…
The horn line came first, I started humming it in the garage one very cold morning in Feb. I was stuck for a title, until a friend used Kismet in a sentence. It's a fun bouncy number, though the mix is kind of bad.
Another of the three songfight inspired titles. Painted Tense (the title) actually came from a band name generator website. I thought it might make a good song title so I submitted it to the RPM HQ person doing the name-from-a-hat picking. I would…
A space and time oddity to be sure. Very well done. Being a Doctor Who fan, I can imagine the good Doctor thinking this as the Tardis spins out of control.

Very nice. I liked the song very much. ER
Very inventive with the sounds. I never thought to include a sound like this in the rhythm of a song. Very nice. ER

Very nice. Very easy to listen to. ER
I've been listening to your songs, and I like your music. The guitar work on this gives the song a memorable melody. Well done. ER

Sounds like Leo's Adventure includes concertinas and cats. Interesting piece. ER
Very nice finger picking, sir. I could never do as well. With my fat fingers it would sound like my cat was chasing a mouse through the sound hole. ER

You're right. This is rediculously good. ER
I liked it. There's a much longer song in there somewhere, I'm sure. And I'm sure you'll make something very good out of this. ER
This also ranks high on my list. Well done, sir. ER
I like this one a lot, too. ER
This is one of my favorites from you. When I need a lift I listen to it and play air guitar and feel much better. ER
