Nice rift. Classic classic rock sounds. Reminds me of some AC/DC. If you're open to collaboration, there are plenty of talented, friendly artist on Alonetone who'd be happy to add some vocals and some mean, upfront lead guitar to this. But Bon Scott and Angus Young is all this fine track is lacking.
Heh, funny you should say that Night Howls! After the quick take, I was reviewing, thinking "jeze I should have played that note instead..." and came up with the idea of a desert roadhouse soundscape. The background sound of card players, poker chips hit the table, the crunch of gravel under a boot outside, the door creaks open and the guitars start sort of thing.
Just a weird exercise to see if I can do this... you can too! starting just under the C on the circle of fifths, using drop D tuning, its a repeating pattern, all the way up the neck... it wont take much for you to figure it out once you realize…
Thanks Joel! I think I did this in drop D tuning (cant recall) and it actually forms a pattern up the neck; two frets up and one string over from your last chord, then over one string and keep going.

Hey, man! Good one! No wonder I can't improvise much. (Don't tell anybody.) I can't even anticipate all the chords on a circle of fifths! Mama mia! Some of them.

My horrible first attempt at jazz improv. Really, if you are just cruising alonetone for something to listen to, this would not be it. Thanks to reviewers from coursera.org in Gary Burton's Jazz Improv class for your time!
Every cranky middle aged guy's theme song in a way. Nothing fancy, craptastic (tm) keyboard drums, a couple guitar tracks and some yelling and complaining.
Just another fragment concept to share with band mates. Move along. Unless you wanna swipe the riff, then feel free! Get me a link so I can see what you did with it if you do though!
(oops, cut off the first bit last time)

drip by drip..
I did the guitar and bass tracks first, then procured my 10 year olds cello for the main bass line :) I also tried my luck playing cello with a bow on this track- which was a new experience.
The trumpet and violin bits are played…
Sister Savage... if it unnerves you, think about how I feel to have discovered a clown has been living in my all this time and is only now trying to escape!
A cover of Iron Angel Forge's song from his 2009 RPM Challenge album, Not Forsaken. He is here at alonetone under the name IronAngel.
I haven't told him yet, though, so it's a surprise ;~)
Holy Smokes! I had no idea... heh.
Great Job! It sounds far better than my quick take still dripping from the shower did. Your guitar lines are much prettier as well!
Thanks Gumbo!
A laid-back funk instrumental. My habitual place-holder while I work out what else to put up.

I really like this tune--doesn't need words--in fact putting words to it would spoil it--
Sweet tune.

Great sound mate
Smooth and clean. Feels real good..
the ambient is ok, just thinking where it goes, like a lone wanderer
And how is it I haven't checked out your music? Mea culpa. I have a lot of catching up to do.
A tele and a strat - all you need! Love the sounds. Nice playing too.

I can picture hearing it in a movie while someone is checking into a crappy motel in the desert.

I really dig the vibe and movement in this, and the way the track builds and evolves. Good guitar and bass tone too!

I really love this version! Much better than mine! Thanks guys, feel free to cover any of my stuff you like!
