Ditty #9 for the RPMC album "Bones".
I'd had this rolling around in my head for about a year now, and even played it live with the SD&Q trio. Didn't quite turn out as planned, which is not unusual.

Ditty #10 for RPMC. I really had a hard time trying to come up with the final track, so I fell back on the old loop/delay/ebow improv formula, which I had hoped to avoid on this album. Kind of acoustic Breaking Light. Well it crossed the finish…

My RPM challenge this year: acoustic guitar instrumental album with no more than three tracks on each tune (ok, maybe four!)
This one is a single track with no overdubs. On the 12 string, the 4th,5th and 6th string pairs are tuned a fourth apart.
very excellent,,, once a long time ago, when i lived in Del Rio i built a 6" newtonian,, at night i used to go down to the end of the road,,then on to the dirt and set up,,, with a dark sky from horizon to horizon,,,, wowieee,, Orion has always been a treat,, if you have a scope or even binoculars,, the sword contains one of the best of all treats to see,,, this is a really nice piece,, im on #7 for my rpm....
Beautifully crisp Kavin.
I understand your love of the universe. Tess and I were gazing at the crescent moon and Jupiter last night totally spellbound. Makes one feel very small!
Shout out to Tom Waits, one of my favs. Rumor has it, he has had a similar problem with his piano.
I didnt think I would make it signing this way to the end of the song, lol.
Throat lozenge anyone??
This is a track I've been working on for quite a while so I am glad to finally have it out of my head.
I have a kind of love/hate relationship with time and its humble functionary, the clock. Ticking, in particular, is something I am ambivalent…
I just made this.
Some reasons I haven't uploaded anything here in a year and a half:
- A lot of the projects I've spent the most time on are very complex, so they quickly burn me out as I'm trying to keep a clear picture of the whole thing…
Well it's been awhile for me. Busy summer and a bit of creative block all around. I'm happy to share a song I wrote this weekend to reflect on how tough change can be when you're in the midst of it. So many in my life are in the midst of personal…
i gave amplitube 3 a free test run. Had to get ampli vst's into audicity then mix and record / master yada. Still playing around , this stuff is tickie for an ole fart like myself to learn.
Grackle Art Gallery owner Matt Sacks discusses improvisation with bassist/musician Canyon Kafer after his performance at the House of the Rising Thumb in Fort Worth,Tx.
Over a month of hourly time lapse (night edited out) with 17 note per octave ambient guitar accompaniment. This is probably the longest project I’ve set out to do. I left my time lapse camera in the kitchen window filming the tree in my backyard…

Post-rock Waits? Why not!
Extraordinary mix/soundfield on this. Sounded like the clocks were external to my headphones, several feet away.
other times it can be a sweet deal
Excellent playlist!
Glad you're back! More please!
Thanks. This is beautiful, welcome back. I've been thinking about that difference a lot lately.
thanks, Cap, the amp on Remnento is Logic's "boutique retro amp"
..and he was right about the Esus2 chord from the train whistle. Amazing.
Neat!
Been listening to Ry Cooder soundtrack music, and this fits right in, great mood and guitar tone and concept.
you out Neil Young-ed Neil Young!
Well done! And the whistle fits like a glove.
This is beautiful, the notes hang in the air like snowflakes lit by a full moon.
Lovely!
