"There Are More Important Things in Life Than Living"
dedicated to Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick
There are pleasures we shall never meet again
as we drop our lovers…
Give Me a Call
Did I say something wrong
Did I let you down
Do you think of me when no ones around
Because I think of you
And I think a lot
Of everything we had and what we’ve still got
You know you could call
Or I could too
But everything…

A little birthday uke ditty, bookended by two improvs
So this is year 61
Made it this far
Let’s have some fun
Keep looking forward don’t look back
Time has a way of keeping track
Of joy and pain
We all live for love
Sun or rain

Guest vocalist Shaka brings the icing to this rather haunted version of the first chapter of Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier!
I wanted to play more directly with noise of various kinds so this piece focuses less on techniques and fancy plugins and more on selection & arrangement of sounds.
I spent many hours going through Reaktor ensembles I've downloaded searching…

When I uploaded this last night I thought it was a failure, this morning I am not so sure. I've just listened to it again and, while it fails to live up to my expectations when I started, there's something about it that I like.
The initial…

2010 RPM Challenge
I elected to pursue my theme for RPM 2010 even though, ultimately, I decided not to take part.
So I'm going at my own pace, not trying to produce "finished" works, or to be governed by anything except my experimental muse.
The theme I chose…
Came up with a proper title, because I THINK the tuning is open D minor. Thanks for the comments. And BTW, no overdubbing was used. Just used the stereo output from the Yamaha Acoustic Stomp pedal.
This is a newer version of Summer Nights from what I posted on Thanksgiving day. I didn't like the previous version. This is a much cleaner version This song is one I wrote quite a while back. I didn't like the melody so I changed it. Easier…
This is the first tune for my 2010 RPM Challenge.
A bit short...my first attempt earlier in the evening (completely different tune) I ended up scrapping at 1:30 a.m., so this one was done in just a few minutes...

Part six of the ten-part suite. The tracks segue continuously, so downloading them all and listening to them together is the intended experience. Thanks for checking it out!
Sitting around in my shop a couple of days ago with the Goodall and the Zoom H4N. First time I've really messed with using the internal mics on the H4N in multitrack mode

This track is the result of putting Kavin's excellent track [Propitiation](http://alonetone.com/kavin/tracks/propitiation) through my Steve Reich style phased looper.
It's a beautiful piece but also quite a sparse sound which lead me to think…
Comments on kavin.'s stuff
Great meditation music. Wings of strings also.
Nice guitar work.
Very nice!!!
"remastered"
Awww love this. A brilliant idea. Brilliantly executed. "John and Paul did their best" heheh... And it's even got one of RIngo's "backwards" fills
What a start.....loving that guitar. .......what if hey!

Great song. The guitars have a nice Spanish vibe, which I like.
Very cohesive sound collage. I love this.
Acoustic greatness.
This has a "softer" sound than previous stuff, which I like. Dreamy.
Got a stand up bass? That's what I imagine, but otherwise it's a great track!
number 9..number 9..number 9
@kirklynch It's all bridge pickup, guitar run thru Yamaha AcousticStomp to simulate a miked dreadnought (because I'm lazy).
I like the anthem-ish approach here. Good 'un Doug.
yeehaaw!
Tasty stuff!
This is kick@$$!
Great energy, charging guitars and vocals! Keep on Colin

Good song Gilbert, nice.
Yay Doug's back! I like the urgency in this one. Kinda like RPM itself.
Parts IV thru VI, I made that run a couple years ago, this would have been a good soundtrack. Great stuff.
Doing RPM?
Beautiful. One of your best.
Ah a song about my 2nd favorite hobby (besides music), much to my wife's chagrin ;-}
WOWOWEEEE!!
