Now that my album Texas Tonefreak is almost "out of print", I'll be posting the tracks up here.

Gotta say, this is one of the best recordings I have ever heard (amateur or professional)! The balance between the instruments is absolutely amazing! This track is blues jam perfection!
Waiting For The Lights To Come Back On
Yesterday after a storm rolled through, we lost power. Recorded two separate tracks with the Little Martin using the handheld, then laid them on top of each other.

can I have one more comment? - ok,
So the manners of the guitar and snare, etc,. with expressions that are just simply unimaginable by normal ... regular people like the man in the street or some average Joe.. woe.. don't stop what you do,.. ,..
Ever since i heard Cave Street's Creator Protector Destroyer (from their 2010 RPM album) run from that song back into the opening didj of Onion Bell (the first track) i wanted to put the lyrics to that pulsing energy, and today i had time to give…
I was collecting 4th of July samples and recorded a jewel. By chance, I recorded my 4 year old girl, and you can hear her thought process...wondering how the fireworks were so high in the air - perhaps the fireworks were dropping from the sky…
This song was inspired by the heavy rains of the past two days, and my wife and I biding our time waiting for them to subside a bit so we could leave the house. The guitar is my old Alvarez classical with a microphone, then run through my RP350…

I came up with the initial rhythmic riff on my bass, then looped it to create the basis for this track. Then, I layered another "lead" bass track on top of that, added some percussion, and finally topped it off with an electric piano-ish sound…
One of a series of songs based on stories written as random memories by a character born around 1870 and his escape from poverty and hardship.
This song is from the time he left his roots to seek out a better future, but at this period this…
We all know someone like this. Sometimes I'm like this. Anyway, recorded using my Epiphone semi-hollowbody. I love the gtr sound on this one. Again, it's older, so the sonic quality isn't anywhere near what I do now.
If the synth intro doesn't do anything for you, just wait about two minutes for the main part of the song to start.
Uses two Creative Commons samples from freesound.org:

A typical folk song.
Written and recorded in about an hour for the 24 hour album (attempted on March 13th). Excuse roughness and vocal glitches, it was 2am and this was my first full take.
Thanks to montgomeru for his chord suggestions…
Matter Of Fate- This song started as a riff I was doing while tuning my guitar. It sounded cool, so I happened to record it on a small dictation recorder I have so I wouldn’t forget it. When I listened to the riff it just screamed Sticky Fingers…
An ambient anthemic piece.
The process:
- Start with a live take of me playing an iphone app called tonepad.
- add camelphat and camelspace
- add an Alchemy instance, find a big fat pad, work out a riff
- record a single take accompanying the…
Comments on kavin.'s stuff
Very much enjoyed sir
Nice melody:)
Very nice. Great guitar sound.

Nice! Groovy guitar sounds
Pretty neat - loss of power and found Derrek Bailey on the way:)
Kavin this is right out a fusion in one of the great duo albums of Towner/Abercrombie, wonderful vibe and feel.
Interesting!
I'm jealous. This is great.
Bluesy, jumpy, what more could a chap ask? And I'm loving the sound of that harp too.
Thanks, all. Kip is hands down the best harmonica player I've ever heard.Phil was such a great drummer, too, RIP my friend.
.Hi, Kavin.... The sound of the harp is so breathy.. Ill steal that. The change up at 1;56 is so tentiony. Is that a real word?
Nice one!
Oh Yeah! That's nice alright!
Oh hell yeah!
Excellent!!!!
love the free form feel.
Solid Blues Track...always love the harp in there.
Well done.

Just listened to both versions back to back, different treatments of the same theme. Great!
This is very cool. Well done!
Excellente! What a menagerie of sound!
Very nice indeed. May take you up on that offer.
The creative impulse animates whatever instrument is placed at its disposal.
Voices..from the Dreamtime?
Very cool. Like this lots.
The length for this showed 1:53 but it went on for 3 minutes! Not complaining, just wondering how you can manipulate the fourth dimension like that?
The ghost of Leonard Cohen? Oh he's still around.
faster faster! And the backwards guitar keeps up.
The blues lilt in your voice and tapping the strings is something new.
Like this 'un. Very Tragically Hip if you don't mind the comparison.
@kirklynch CGDGBD I think....could be wrong but that's close. Need to revisit it and learn it!
Lulls you with the rain sample and ambient gtr then hits you over the head with that killer take no prisoners riff!
@ GFox, ER, et al Aw shux, thanks.
Wow. It's been too long. Great song.
Very cool! Yes, Stones-ish but "happier" than most of their stuff. Nice slide part too.
Yay! Let's hear it for apps. Like this a lot.
Good jammin'!
Pretty darn cool.
