Kinda gets me thinking...
And writing...

A quick little tune written in appreciation of a small expression of contentedness.
I can see in that little smile
You're living for the moment
Every once in a little while I catch it
No one else could match it
You're more than meets the eye
Well, this may be the final tweaking of this nice little sing along song...
I sent this fun little sing along off to Jim of MTC fame, and once again he has outdone himself... And I can't thank him and his wife (who appears covertly) enough…

I sent the tracks for this tune to a friend of mine who owns a professional studio. I gave him no instructions on how to mix it, as I wanted someone else's take on the music. He created a very dry, intimate mix, focusing more on the acoustic guitars…
I needed a place to host a work in progress where it wouldn't be obvious so you might have found a secret mix!!!
So that 4 minute song with the slide guitar that no-one listens to is gone ;-)
This weekend I was thinking about artists that I used to enjoy listening to in highschool. Toad the Wet Sprocket came to mind, and I thought it would be fun to cover one of their songs. I've always liked "Pray Your Gods" - even though the chorus…
Landry/Garn
When I sent this song off to Jim, he sent back tracks for a second rhythm guitar, lead guitar, and drums. Bass soon followed, and Kavin's slide dropped in nicely. Just thought I'd let y'all have a listen to what came back to me…
My first acrostic prompt, requiring the word "Hope" to be spelled out by the first letter of the lines. Found in the chorus:

The second of two versions of Keith Landry's great song.
Listen to the original [here](http://alonetone.com/keithlandryacoustic/tracks/as-the-train-rolls-through).
Oh, and I might like this one even more... Such a great edgy counterpart (and harmonies, no less) to such a fun little ditty.
Get down with your bad folky self.

Maybe I missed a career scoring for no budget spaghetti westerns, because this is what this reminds me of. Done live a couple weeks ago with the Taylor and a floor full of toys and loopers.
Just downloaded the whole album... I'll be putting in in slot one of the CD changer for the ride out to Portsmouth... Then hitting repeat over and over and over...
