So Jim of "Movement to Contact" asked me a couple of weeks ago to send him something...
I had no idea how ridiculously good the final result would come out.
KL: Vocals, lyrics, left side rhythm guitar and picking

Thanks, Kavin! Jim really did a fantastic job of running with the song much the way you did so perfectly with "Bandit"...
The playlist pic is from Mary's Lake (I think that's the name of it) just outside Rocky Mountain National Park.... Which, by the way, is where the playlist cover for "The Trail" is from as well.

The next step in the progression of this song... It still needs quite a bit of cleanup (and some extra arranging), but it's getting there.
Hey, everyone writes songs about falling in love (which for me was, like, seventeen years ago), so I thought…
There is an interesting story to that song. Long winded but interesting. It seemed like all day from morning until evening, every story someone shared was geared tward some horrible thing that they had heard about. I got home and was watching a show about the crazy ______ (<-- instert words here) that kidnap women...just horrible, horrible stuff. Then my wife began telling me about a man who was going to put down a dog, but he had a felony and could not get a gun, so he took a knife and stabbed it to death.
It had been a very long and stressful day and these stories just started to really mess with my head. Seriously? What is up with people like that.
So I grabbed my guitar and was going to work on our jam a bit. Put the capo on and the first note I hit just sent my mind spinning. Just as you put it, i grabbed my notebook, wrote down everything that came to mind. Picked up my guitar and turned on the mic and it just came out.
Sometime's I feel I have to release whatever has been dwelling before I can get back to my usual state of mind. Drinking coffee, jamming good music, and getting focused for what is ahead.
In short, I still have my capo on the guitar and should have something killer back to you tonight.
Talk at you soon Keith

Is it incomplete? Yes... Does it need a whole lot of cleaning up? Yes... Are there lyrics? Yes... Does it need more arrangement? Yes (but that's coming with a little collaboration on the way)... So, yes the title is the actual title to…

Hey, great track, Peter!... And thanks for coming over to listen to some of my stuff... The tracks you tuned in to are seriously old and poorly performed, so please forgive the quality!
Wow... This is like the taking the Beatles' and Beach Boys' Greatest Hits and rolling them into one amazingly addictive song. Outstanding stuff, Peter... Keep uploading!!! Can't get enough of this good stuff!
Yes, I just did write a comment about this song... But it's that good... "Two-comment-worthy" as it were. Love the piano, especially at around 2:50, really clean, just great pure songwriting. One of those songs that you could play over and over again... So I will.
DREAMS OF THE OCEAN
Your kids'll be waking up in the morning
Just a couple of hours after mine have gone to bed
I've got the coffee warming
While dreams of the ocean are in your daughters' heads
I taught them all 'bout it late last evening…

Soon to be released on Amber's CD Album "Forever"
"When daylight stills to grey and all the world is silent, we listen to the stillness sounds..." Written just for Amber by Susan Evans McCloud and Richard W. Smith this paints a picture of a family…
4 stereo guitar tracks played out one at a time.
Another late night - early morning recording.
I like to keep a positive attitude about the things that haunt me, but sometimes dreams change course unexpectedly, and the worms creep in.
A moody solo acoustic thing that I came up with playing in a long forgotten tuning. Just got a new Zoom H4N, so this was recorded in my shop sitting at my reedmaking bench may 12 2009
Solo acoustic finger picking thing I've been working on for a while. Sometime around 1968 I started studying with Mr. George Bennett who taught me the rudiments of finger picking. Later when we played some gigs together he also taught me the rudiments…
Similar in feel to the other Fragile Moment track. Mostly acoustic guitars recorded sitting in my shop on the H4N and then finished up in Cubase just this morning. September 9 09. Maybe a nice one for bedtime

Wow... Great track! I need to find some time to listen to the am/fm dreams complete playlist.
Ah, great arrangement, Richard!
Hey Richard! Great stuff... LOVE the strings!!! Great "sit back, think, and feel" music for me... Just outstanding.
All right, now I'm really envious... Great stripped down rhythm guitar kicking into one of the catchiest songs I've ever heard. Just great stuff!!!
Wow, so this is how it's done. Very envious of the execution of these terrific songs. Simply a perfect simple track, this one... Well done!

Great to see this song up here on Alonetone... One of my all-time favorites!!! Really brilliant stuff, Peter.
Thanks to everyone for listening to this stripped-down first run of this song with Tess' amazing vocals.
Fave'd because of Tess' incredible vocals! Damn, that girl can sing.
Great as always, Colin! I've been hoping to hear some good new stuff from you, and this hits the spot.
Damn... Love this song.
Great little song!
Wow. I'm not sure how I happened into this beautiful song, but I sure am glad that I did. Beautiful voice... Beautiful arrangement... Just wow.
Great track!
Outstanding.
Well, I'll be downloading everything acoustic you have now... This stuff is incredible.
