I am the one that spent 70 days backpacking Ireland. One leg was Lake Acoose to Killarney Nat'l Forest. I only came to towns once a week to acquire supplies and go to church. Your music reminds me of the best moments of my trips.

reminds me of backpacking from Lake Acoose across MacGillycuddy's Reeks into the Valley of the Eyes terminating in the Black Valley. I accomplished this alone and heard the Banshee in the Black Valley before the magic Killarney National Forest swallowed me.

WOAH! I get entranced by this kind of sound. It reminds me of the sensation I get with the didgeridoo. Monotonal foundation... it evokes a meditative state. Everything surrounding me can be moving rapidly but this sound slows down that internal clock.. ephemeral moments become everlasting... It moves melodically exactly when in needs to, and your pipe performance is just leaves me in awe. Thanks for uploading this amazing tune.

A moody solo acoustic thing that I came up with playing in a long forgotten tuning. Just got a new Zoom H4N, so this was recorded in my shop sitting at my reedmaking bench may 12 2009
Ooh, gorgeous flowing guitar work... for some reason it reminds me a bit of a cross between Micheal Hedges and Ottmar Liebert!? Always wonderful when something is played skillfully enough to sound effortless :-)

it is a breathlessly beautiful dancer of Spain. she dances in a courtyard of jasmine. flowers lit by moonlight. it is a dance never forgotten. music to touch the soul.

the first multi track piece that I actually finished "in the box" in Cubase. An ambient kinda thing that grew out of playing around with the Line 6 DL4. Not sure I like the bow parts, but I may re do it later
The varying parts in this are tasty. Is it e-bow by chance, or volume pedal? Or is it simply that you play the gtr far better than I could ever hope to? ;)
Kirk I've really enjoyed going through your ambient stuff (and also your bluesy stuff!) I can decide between this one and Ambient experiment 2. They're both delicious.
They left me home alone with my Fender Mustang and Marshall Amp. My cat ran away - and one of my ferrets stared at me for a full 30 seconds in disbelief and then decide telepathy was not going to make me turn down the volume. It isn't good…
A meditation of sorts.

Ahh, drone. Funny how extremely slow, repetitive, yet heavy phased guitars drown out the world and still make a melodious impact. Technically not much I would agree, but after listening to Xela's recitation, man, it just moves me.
There is a done…
A rubbish track by Tess got the Sandbags treatment here - the results only hold shades of the original. And it's just as well.

Ditty #10 for RPMC. I really had a hard time trying to come up with the final track, so I fell back on the old loop/delay/ebow improv formula, which I had hoped to avoid on this album. Kind of acoustic Breaking Light. Well it crossed the finish…
Ditty #9 for the RPMC album "Bones".
I'd had this rolling around in my head for about a year now, and even played it live with the SD&Q trio. Didn't quite turn out as planned, which is not unusual.
At a recent charity event held in my small town's train museum, I was admiring a massive brass train bell when the curator walked up to me. I commented that a bell would really rather be heard then seen, and he agreed. I offered to digitally record…

WOW GREAT SOUND!!!!! A nice travel to a forest place... rained... but warm
Very cool! Love the sound of it.
My 1-year old daughter, Jasmine, is absolutely spellbound by this. It's such a joy to see - her eyes couldn't be any wider.
beautiful and inspiring!
I love it. What a great instrument.
I've always liked the sound of those pipes and this is a great showcase for your playing. I got visions of windswept moors and lonely seashores.
Just gorgeous.

Oh wow! Clever stuff. Speaking as a celt, this gets right into the heart. Lucky little Maggie. Very well played too.
Oh loving the Celtic vibe, Papa Kirk!

I quite like that bizarre transition!
Nothing wrong with acoustic breaking light as far as I'm concerned. Nice stuff man!
Sweet! Like the slide work
Great guitar sounds! Loved it!
Man, this is nice and I'm only 2 minutes in. Great atmosphere!
Sounds like someone I used to know!
Nice improv! Didn't know that the Ebow would work on 12 string
I don't know how I missed this. Great stuff man!
