Gorgeous writing for trumpets (and trombone?)... and I assume that's you playing all parts? Excellent work. The "echo" on this was a little pronounced (maybe a better reverb setting is needed?) but the performance/writing was excellent.
Sam was a very articulate and kind friend; he spend way too much of his life in a wheel chair and yet demonstrated a lot of grace.
We lost him just over a year ago.
Among many other unexpected, Christ-like kindnesses, he realized at one point…

I wanted to write a song with piano, it pretty much wrote itself. (The chromatic structure of the guitar solo had been in my head untabbed for years.)
LYRICS:
Flexible bullet fired at me
Following some unknown trajectory
Piercing the walls…
This beat was made while teaching my Sound I summer class about making sample-based beats in Reason software. It is named after the new Circulator energy-efficient free bus in Baltimore. My main non-drum samples here are from my piece "Granite…
Something I did last year - A song about the crazy college days (Or Uni where applicable :) )
Bad Old Days
Everybody's drinking their wine
Driving slow and taking their time
Better off when I sip moonshine
Not rubbing alcohol 'cause I…
One for my electronic friends. It's just a bunch of patches mixed with MIDI and glued together with 1 part water, 2 parts flour, and 2 parts ectoplasma.
Enjoy!
Lullaby for Josephine - written by Laura Kepner-Adney
Now it’s time to go to sleep
Send my love to your dreams
Now it’s time to say goodnight
Kiss you once, hold you tight
Stars falling wherever you are
Send my love to the stars…
I'm a complete idiot when it comes to all things midi related. Recently got myself a midi keyboard though and came up with this short piece just messing with sounds in Proteus. Really looking forward to the possibilities of combining this sort…
This Lovin’ Cup- I was watching the idiot box and just holding my guitar when this little vamp on a B chord came out of nowhere. Using the same recorder, I recorded about 20 seconds of the riff. The lyrical idea came on the trip to Chicago, while…
Another of the three songfight inspired titles. Painted Tense (the title) actually came from a band name generator website. I thought it might make a good song title so I submitted it to the RPM HQ person doing the name-from-a-hat picking. I would…
My big hit, I guess. Everyone seems to love this track. I do too. It's inspired by The Mars Volta's track "L'Via L'Viaquez," but I took things in more of a Pink Floyd direction with the extended synth solo that is evocative of the instrumental…
This one was inspired by Wen's mom; and is therefore dedicated to all those musicians doing RPM, and all musicians who toil away at home to make their music despite what their friends & co-workers might think of their efforts.

I composed this track as a demo of my sampling project "The First Bulgarian Virtual Choir" some time ago...
I invited the famous folk singer Katia Georgieva to perform the live lead vocal.

This was the first song Shreya played me, and she said it came to her in a dream, and I believe it. It's flooring, and her vocals/acoustic guitar are relatively untouched. I added the other virtual instruments, and if you listen carefully, you…
