This track started with an accident.
I started building a pattern in Elysium. When I was happy with that, I recorded a bunch of it with Live. I loop recorded with quantization. When the thing looped around, I realized that Elysium was still…
A 30 minute track (creation time).
Went for dinner with friends that were having trouble getting along.
They were in my thoughts whilst I put this together.
It starts out with trashcan drumming.. makes me want to move! Then it evolves with all the rhythmic synth layers... I likey.. If you are passively looking for input, I'd recommend thinking about how to utilize more negative space to emphasize that trash can rhythm at parts...I think you do this in a different way.. in sections rather than throughout the track.. and well, my recommendation comes with a big fat disclaimer... I tend to want to hear the wall of sound layers deferring to tribal beats :-) , Maybe gate or cut out parts of those polyrhythms on certain beats. I like the grinding end too.
A little study using Dmin6 and Dmin7 with a little D dorian dressing.

When you do this kind of track it evokes a feeling of travelling without moving.
It reminds me of being a passenger in a car on a motorway at night, slightly tired and letting the world glide, carelessly, past me.
I've always liked that feeling.

Sometimes magic happens. Sometimes it even happens to me.
Open D tuning (low to high D A D G A D). Just a practice session where I had the guts to press record.
No drugs. Just beer with dinner. Maybe they put something in the creme brule…
Started off with me just goofing around with Battery and a couple of other NI things (which are new to me) and grew into this...
It may still have places to go.
This is a Phil Keaggy tune. I swiped his original loop and then built my own thing on top of it. Might have been longer, but my volume swell effect keeps slipping out of sync with everything else. May work on it more at a later date
Here's a little ditty about riding a Harley. I wrote it to play with a group called "the Roaming Coyote's" I just re-tubed a 1975 Hiwatt Custom 50 and tracked the guitars straight amp using a Wolfgang
Got a guitar for my birthday... I have been trying to learn how to play it. This is a cover of an old Smiths song I tried to tackle for Lesson 10 "Finger Picking."
12.10.2013: rerecorded at slightly faster tempo; added small amount of distortion…
Quick recording of a new set of pipes I'm working on. Long winded explanation- prior to the late 19nth century most Irish pipes featured very small bores and finger holes and were pitched well below modern concert pitch. I've always loved them…
Just an experiment from a while back using multiple delay units. I hated it initially, but after not hearing it for a few months I decided there were enough interesting moments to warrant sharing.
A rather more fundamentally experimental piece with Reichenbach's new *drift* mode. In this mode a probability matrix controls periodic changes in the loop length and/or position.
Once more I am using one of the awesome [Rekkerd mixed bag](http…

A demo track for a new Reaktor instrument I'm building codename: Mimetron.
Loop Guitar 1 is a long, flowing, ambient piece. Mellow with a few moments of grit.
Mimetron is a 3 voice sampler that is driven by incoming audio. It has 3 channels…
The product of yesterdays experiments with Metasynth.
I took a few seconds of a Debussy piano piece and imported them into Metasynths spectrum synth where I turned them into a groove which I then filtered in the Filter room.
I imported this…
I'm calling this my Halloween track, but really it's just one of my more noisy experiments that I never intended to release! I actually can't remember now how I got part of these sounds, but it's all the Taylor and a floor full of toys, and a…
This is the first track made with my new Reaktor instrument 'Super Scanoid' which might just have well been named '1950s Sci-Fi Soundtrack Generator".
The sounds it makes with this sample (a bouncy pizzicato cello) reminded me of the score from…

Way cool! This really drives! Nice!
You got a great track out of it. I dig the blend of synth/guitar.
very atmospheric. I found myself staring off into the middle distance. chill
Ooh, I like my rhythm hot.

Damn.. it makes me want to throw this book across the room and hook up the studio proper.

Still a great track- hadn't heard it for a while
like the ear candy!

Smartly wistful. No clutter. I really like it.
